Hello,
I would like to know the principle of operation of the quiescent current of an amplifier. Can it be adjusted with a milliammeter if the oscilloscope is not available? It should be noted that my amplifier is not at all a professional brand: AMPLI PRO SONY PY-767. After replacing the damaged output transistors, what procedure should I follow? Thank you for your cooperation.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 6.0

good day arolova
what class is that amplifier? AB? what are the finals for you?
if I understood the question correctly you want to adjust the quiescent current to have minimal cross over distortion!
best regards

Hi Iasca,
I have indeed received your response regarding my request from 09/09/10. What I mean regarding the finals are the power transistors at the output stage. The problem is that only the amplifier brand is known but I can’t find its electrical schematic. It is for this reason that I would like to know the principle of operation of the quiescent current of an amplifier and especially after replacing the damaged output transistors, the amp overheats abnormally.
Best regards.
