Hello,
I use a fan and I would like to know if it will have an impact on my electricity bill, as it is mostly on during this heat.
Does a fan consume a lot of electricity?
If you have reliable websites or other sources, they would be welcome.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista / Safari 533.4

To know the electricity cost, you need to know the power of your fan: for example, 250 watts.
If you can't find it, but you see the amperage, you just need to multiply the volts (120v in America or 220V in Europe, if I remember correctly) by the amperage, which will give you the power of your fan.
So, this fan will consume 250 watts in one hour: 0.25 kilowatt.
You just need to know the price per kilowatt/hour and you will be able to determine the cost of usage.-
Alright. I feel like I understood something, but let me tell you what I understood and you can tell me if it's correct:
Under my fan, there's a label that indicates: 220 V / 50 Hz / 75 W.
I am currently in Morocco and here the price of kWh is about 0.79 dirham.
75W = 0.075 kW
So: 0.075 multiplied by 0.79 dirham = 0.05925 dirham per hour.
Is that correct?
Thank you in advance!! -
