Philips CD560 phone locked

I'm adding myself to the long list of complaints...
I'm having the same issue with my CD560
The screen and keyboard are flashing, only placing it back on the base changes the behavior, it tries to charge and a battery symbol appears on the screen. But there is no display and the phone isn't connected to the base. It is completely inoperable

Just to point out, the issue arose after removing the batteries for a certain period.

Yes, I too was able to exchange my first pack without discussion, but when the new one started to show the same symptoms, I requested a refund and switched brands... "A scalded cat fears cold water." Best regards.

PS: The saleswoman told me it might be an issue with the series: all of you who still have your phones, check this number and report it on the site... and especially to Philips. Good luck!

I contacted Philips (after-sales service). They replaced the entire phone in a few days.

I belong to those who also have a combination that has the same symptoms mentioned above.

Personally, I contacted the relevant PHILIPS service by email, and I received an acknowledgment stating that I would get a response within 4 days... It's been much longer, and I still have no answer, and I think I'm going to wait a long time... Have you reached out to PHILIPS? The more feedback there is, the better it will be for maybe this model to be reviewed! In the meantime, I returned my phones and opted for another brand. Best regards.

Same issue with one of my CD 650 players. Except the warranty expired two months ago... I'm hesitant to buy another combo from the same brand...

Same symptoms on a CD565 duo.
I should have read this forum sooner; it would have saved me from buying two sets of batteries (22 €) based on the bad advice from Leclerc's customer service. With the added bonus of "we have never had a problem with this model". My eye!!!
If anyone can provide me with Philips' contact information, I would appreciate it.

I don’t know what Philips will do, but it’s good for the dissatisfaction and disappointments caused by the purchase of this product to be communicated to them by the customers, in person, right?... I took my 2 CD560 phones to the service center (one of which was no longer functioning, see comment from 11.11.10), and since they were still under warranty, they exchanged them for me without discussion (a known but unresolved issue, they told me...). Now I have 2 working phones, but for how long...?
A small downside, the 2-year warranty was not renewed from the date of exchange, so I only have one year of warranty left...

I no longer have any problems since I opted for another brand during the second return of the phones in the store, but all of you whose cd560 phones are breaking down, alert Philips!!! who may eventually do something, otherwise, customers will do like me: buy a competing brand!

It's the same for me, the Cd650 doesn't respond anymore.
Out of the three I bought, there's only one left.

Hello, Unfortunately, I lost the warranty card, and the store where I bought this phone couldn't (or didn't want to) do anything for me... So I had to buy another one: the same one! because this was the only model that suited me (price, color), but this time I made sure to keep the proof of my purchase safe; and now with this new phone, the same problem has reappeared: for the moment, the screen lights up unexpectedly, for varying lengths of time, and then turns off; not broken yet, but I will talk to customer service, as they must have other clients experiencing this problem? It's up to them, the sellers, to alert the manufacturer, whom I will try to contact by looking for their details in the manuals. I hope your seller can tell you more, and if so, please share it with all those who have this issue!

I confirm... same problem with my additional phone!

Same issue for a week with this Philips CD 565 DUO phone...
the screen lights up and then quickly turns off, at first I thought it was the rechargeable batteries' charging cycle that wasn't working... so I put in new batteries... and still the same problem.
In my opinion, it's a "PROM" problem (program read-only memory), the chip programmed once at the factory that contains the device's operating program is malfunctioning...
so the phone turns on and off in a loop (Boot/error... Boot/error...)
I think it needs to be brought to PiLipse's customer service... let's see if they're not running a recall campaign... because with so many people, it’s definitely going to tarnish the brand image...

same problem as you all and so if I understand correctly, there's no need to rack my brains looking for 1.2V batteries to change because according to what you say, it shouldn't work any better.

I have exactly the same problem as everyone else. It's June 20, 2011, and my phone is less than 2 years old, and stupidly I can't find the receipt!! It blinks, won't charge anymore, I just spent 17 euros on new batteries and it changes nothing. The devices these days are worth nothing! My HP color printer is a year old and no longer recognizes the cartridges... and I'm told I need to buy a new one... and yes, with what money? The money that is no longer given to me because salaries are frozen. Everything is stuck at the same level: that of the profit of brands that sell you worthless products without warranty so that you buy another new one as crappy as the one before!
It's depressing and exhausting.
