My computer no longer detects the wifi: how to find a network?

Hello, yesterday I was on my computer online, and suddenly the connection dropped. I went to the control panel => network connections, and there I see that my computer no longer detects any networks. The problem can't be with my Wi-Fi since the other computers in the house connect just fine... I went to a friend's place, same thing, my computer doesn't detect any networks. I then clicked on "diagnose why Windows can't find any networks," and a window popped up telling me that "The wireless function is disabled on the computer and that I need to enable the wireless function (this operation involves pressing the switch or a combination of function keys)." Small problem, I can't find the button (I have an Acer Aspire 7220), and I tried pressing fn+f1, f2, f3... In short, still nothing, it still doesn't detect my Wi-Fi. Could you please guide me on the steps to follow to recover the network, thank you in advance for your replies. Optimus120

Hello,

Take a look over there
  • Start -> Network -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings (left menu).
  • From there, check if "Wireless Network Connection" is disabled.
  • If it is disabled, right-click on "Wireless Network Connection" and select "Enable".
