Hello,
when I type something to search with Google in the address bar of Google Chrome, it shows me the search engine http://www.queryexplorer.com and I don't know why.
Normally, it should show me Google.
How can I fix this problem?
Thank you

Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 533.4

    Hello!
I had the same problem. It annoyed me but I found the solution. Quite easy actually: control panel, uninstall: query explorer version something and there you go, it's done!!!!

Yeah, that works! Thank you very much! Indeed, we didn't think to look for it when it was right under our noses...
      Anyway, thank you! =)

Wrench in the top right > Option > Basic Options > Default Search, select Google.

Look in: "options" -> tab "basic options" -> "default search", and you can select Google.

Let me know if it works!

Probably... I saw another person on the forum who has the same problem.

    It's beyond my skills!

My problem was resolved over the weekend, without having done anything... Very strange.

If someone has an answer to provide!!

    Thanks in advance

      Have you tried this?

Look in: "options" -> tab "basic options" -> "default search", and you will be able to select Google.

      yes, I checked that
but I might have an idea,
when we do this manipulation: "option", "default search", "manage", I can click on "google (default)" and then on "edit".
      there it says:
      "name: google
      keyword: google
      URL: {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=%s "

I see that in this URL there is "query", maybe that’s where the problem comes from, if someone could copy and paste what they have in that box for me, so I can add a new parameter... Thanks in advance =)

      {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:original

That might be it, well spotted! Keep me updated!

Thank you, but there seems to be a missing part in your URL, it continues after what you copied for me normally...

Moreover, I don't think it's possible to change it, at least when I try to edit one of the search engines, I can't change the URLs; the only thing I can do is create a new one, but I probably can't use it by default unless it works with a correct URL... something to check

I've also noticed that when you type in the address bar and hit "enter," it searches with queryexplorer... But when you click on the little arrow to the right of the address bar, it works fine with the default search engine selected....
I'm having a hard time understanding why and how since I have no knowledge of computers, but it might mean something...

      {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=%s

Indeed, there was a missing piece.
