Hello,
Every time I start Media Center, it displays: Windows Media Center has stopped working; in fact, the software doesn't even start... The error appears immediately.

In "View problem details," it states:

you can uninstall it either with Ccleaner or with Unlocker, after the uninstallation you need to restart your computer so that the DLLs are removed, all you have to do is reinstall it with your Windows installation CD (but I much prefer VLC media center which won't let you down like that and plus, no problems) don't forget that you also need .NET Framework for WMC to work properly

If the issue is resolved, don't forget to mark it as such and enjoy the music!

      One last question:
Do we take it or VLC Media Center?

    Hello
unfortunately this software will often show you this kind of message, you need to uninstall it and then restart your computer and finally reinstall it or use another software (personally I use VLC Media Player and have never had a problem since it doesn't use codecs)
    best regards

      Hello,

I encountered this problem after reverting to Windows 7 from Windows 10 (disappointed with that OS).
Of course, the uninstallation and reinstallation of Windows Media Center probably didn't go smoothly during the migration.
      I resolved it like this:
You need to disable Windows Media Center in:
Control Panel/Uninstall a program/Turn Windows features on or off/Media Features --> uncheck Media Center
      Restart the computer when prompted.
Once restarted, you will no longer have Media Center; reinstall it using the same process.
You will not need to restart again.

Personally, this resolved all my Windows Media Center crash issues, particularly the "has stopped working" error.

      Best regards.
