Windows Explorer has stopped working

Solved
Hello,

For several months, I have been unable to copy/paste files from one folder to another on my computer (only moving works), and I can't transfer any documents from a device to my computer and vice versa: I get the error message "Windows Explorer is not working."
I have tried a lot of things to try to resolve the issue, but to no avail. I read that it could be due to a corrupted video file, but I haven't downloaded anything except the videos I made with my camera that I transferred to my computer...

If you could guide me to find out where the problem comes from in order to solve it, as it's very inconvenient on a daily basis...

Thank you in advance,
Best regards,

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 54.0.2840.99

  1. Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.
    I don't use Winlocker, but I do have it on my computer. Unfortunately, I don't have the option to uninstall it via the program manager. I only have the "modify" option...

    Can I possibly delete it from the source file?

    Thank you,
    Best regards,

      Hi,

      Try to provoke the error then:

      Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).

      Download and run the FRST scan, 3 FRST reports will be generated:
      • FRST.txt
      • Shortcut.txt
      • Additionnal.txt

      Send these 3 reports to the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and return with the 3 pjjoint links leading to the reports here in a new response so that we can consult them.

          It's indeed the MyWinLocker problem that is also listed among the installed programs...

              Here is the correction to be made with FRST. You can refer to this explanatory note with screenshots.

              Open Notepad: Press Windows + R,
              In the "Run" field, type notepad and click OK.
              Copy/Paste the following into it:

              CreateRestorePoint:
              CloseProcesses:
              HKLM\...\Run: [mwlDaemon] => C:\Program Files (x86)\EgisTec\MyWinLocker 3\x86\mwlDaemon.exe [349480 2009-08-07] (Egis Technology Inc.)
              ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers: [egisPSDP] -> {30A0A3F6-38AC-4C53-BB8B-0D95238E25BA} => C:\Program Files (x86)\EgisTec\MyWinLocker 3\x64\psdprotect.dll [2009-08-07] (Egis Technology Inc.)
              ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers-x32: [egisPSDP] -> {30A0A3F6-38AC-4C53-BB8B-0D95238E25BA} => C:\Program Files (x86)\EgisTec\MyWinLocker 3\x86\psdprotect.dll [2009-08-07] (Egis Technology Inc.)
              R2 MWLService; C:\Program Files (x86)\EgisTec\MyWinLocker 3\x86\\MWLService.exe [311592 2009-08-07] (Egis Technology Inc.)
              C:\Program Files (x86)\EgisTec
              EmptyTemp:
              CreateRestorePoint:
              Reboot:

              Once the text is pasted into Notepad,
              Go to "File" menu then "Save As",
              On the left, navigate to the Desktop,
              In the bottom field, for the file name enter: fixlist.txt
              Click "Save", this will create fixlist.txt on the Desktop.

              Restart FRST and click the "Fix" button
              A reboot may be necessary (not mandatory)
              A text file will appear, copy/paste its content here in a new message.

              Restart the computer.
