How to turn off the LEDs on your PC?

Hello, I'm looking to turn off the LEDs on my PC while it's on, does such a program exist? Thanks in advance.  Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.8

Thank you for the advice, but when it comes to hardware I prefer not to touch it, especially since I have a laptop and it's still under warranty (so if I open it, the warranty is void -_-' ).
If anyone finds a program that allows it, please let me know (although apparently, it doesn't exist).

No, the LEDs are connected to a small connector on the motherboard; you just need to unplug these connectors...

on other motherboards, the pins may be in different places, but the principle is the same.
