Display issue storex storydisk lite

Hello,

My external hard drive, Storex Storydisk Lite, was working perfectly!
However, I wanted to change the image resolution.
The problem is that the resolution is not compatible with my TV, and now the image is all blurry!
I can't restore the default/settings compatible with my TV (the hard drive is connected via AV cable).
Is there a solution to recover the display settings without formatting the hard drive?

P.S.: I do not have an HD television! I can't use the HDMI output.

Thank you for your replies!!!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

By pressing the Video out button on the remote control, I managed to get the image back on the TV. Afterwards, it was easy to access the Setup.
My storydisk lite is connected as follows: Audio output (red and white connection) and Video (yellow connection).

Thank you :) When I tried to connect my Story Disk Lite via HDMI, I changed the settings and OOPS :( nothing appears on the TV anymore, I'll give up on the connections and stick to the yellow, red, and white cables like you :( It's a shame for the HD.

I had the same thing happen to me, you just need to plug the external hard drive into the TV, using the three red, yellow, and white connectors; turn on the hard drive and the TV, wait 10 seconds and press the SETUP button on the remote, then press the up arrow twice (you'll be in the RESET menu), once on the right arrow, then ENTER and voilà, the drive will return to its original configuration! Good luck. Alex

Thank you, Alex. The trick with the remote control is perfect. I had tried to change the resolution to 1080I without using an HDMI cable. Result: no image and no function on the remote control. Thanks again. Michel

Hello,
unfortunately, I don't have any answers for you.
I am in the same situation as you. Perhaps you have resolved your issue by now.
As for me, I will contact the hotline and continue my research.
I plan to visit a friend who has a TV with an HDMI port and see if the homepage appears at last.

Hello, I bought StoryDisk Lite and I can't read the files (audio, video, photos, etc.). I connect with Audio output (red and white connection) and Video (yellow connection). But nothing happens... =/
If anyone has the solution! Thank you in advance.

And on the TV, did you connect to direct audio/video inputs?
Personally, I use the TV's SCART input with one end SCART and the other with 3 plugs (red, white, and yellow). See the following link for an illustration of the plug:

Hello,
are there any updates available for a Storex StoryDisk Lite player?
I have a problem
with the 1TB hard drive, there are no movies even though they are there as before when connected to the PC
I plugged in a small 160GB drive and the movies appear 10 times each

what's going on, it used to work fine???

thank you for your help

I had this problem, I just had to disassemble the disk, format it to FAT32 (MBR).
And everything returned to normal!
