Hello,
I just bought a SOREX Club mpix-252b external hard drive and when I connect it to the TV, nothing works, neither manually nor with the remote control. Please let me know if you have the same problem and how to fix it.

I managed to solve my issues with storexmpix 252b. It's quite simple, the storex mpix 252b can only operate in fat 32. To convert from ntfs to fat 32, there is software available for download on the storex website, and it works perfectly.

hello!!
So I also have a Strorex Club MPix 252B
but I bought it used and I don't have the remote control
and as a result it doesn't turn on, we can't even hear the disk spinning!
So I would like to know if... do you need a remote control to turn it on??
And if it is necessary to reinstall the driver on the hard drive after formatting it in FAT32, thank you for your response!
Thank you for your help to those who have also helped.

I just bought a Storex Club Mpix-252, and the problem is that when I want to play a music folder, it only plays the first track and not the others. Each time, I have to select the next file. I want it to play all the files in the "Patricia Kass" folder one after the other. How can I do that??? Thank you for your help.
Furthermore, when you are on your music file, you can select an equalizer mode by pressing the "photo rotation" button on the remote, which is the third button from the bottom on the left. Each time you press it, you switch to another mode, and if your MPix is connected to the TV, you will see the equalizers scrolling. I don't think there's a personal mode; you'll need to explore...
The green and orange lights are on. In the Windows Explorer root, the data appears (autorun etc...) but there's no startup or any other element indicating that I am on a drive like /J or K.... Every time I am told that the USB port does not recognize the device. Checks done in the device manager indicate that the devices are functioning properly.
Moreover, I hear "click click" sounds every time I start it, whether on Play or ODT from my Storex.
It is not recognized by either my PC or my TV. In any case, nothing is displayed.
Does anyone have THE SOLUTION? Thank you.

hello
very simple if you don't hear the hard drive spinning, but just a click..click..click.., then it's normal
it's one of the problems with this hard drive
it probably comes from the USB cable,
I once bought another cable but it does the same thing, only the original cable from a friend works on my hard drive
so it just stays in a corner, I can't use it
even on the TV, it tells me, "No drive"
try to do a repair on errors, in properties on your drive
then format it to FAT32, and try to apply the "ROM" patch available somewhere on this post, otherwise I'll pass it to you

Well, it took me 2 days
to disassemble the case and inside, the disk was slightly disconnected from the connectors
you just have to reattach it, but during transport, be careful because it isn't secured
there you go, goodbye and happy storing.

Hello, I have a big issue with my Storex mpix-252 multimedia hard drive, 120GB, which I bought just a year ago. I had about 110GB of data stored on the drive (photos, videos, music, personal files). A few days ago, when I connected it to the TV, a message appeared saying "NO DISK". I turned it off and then back on, and I was able to read my files on the TV. However, a few days later, when I tried to reconnect it to the computer, I lost access to the hard drive completely. When I connect my hard drive to both USB ports as usual, the computer detects the drive but I can't access it at all; in fact, the icon no longer appears in "My Computer". I also noticed that in addition to the green light that turns on (State), there is an orange light that comes on (Access) and unusually, it is blinking. Furthermore, when I connect the drive to the television, after 10 attempts, I still get the same message "NO DISK". I can no longer get it to work. Can someone help me?

I'm having a real problem with the Storex MPix 252B that I just acquired; not having read the manual, I converted it to NTFS before doing anything. Now the files in the library are not showing up; I can't copy files through USB2; hence, I can't read anything on the TV. Could someone please be kind enough to advise me? Thank you in advance. Hello everyone, I just bought the Storex mpix252 pocket disk and now the PC doesn't even recognize it... It works perfectly on the TV, but when I connect it to the PC, nothing at all... Help please.
Hello, my Storex mpix-252 hard drive was working perfectly, but now when I connect it to the TV, it says there is no disk. When I plug the USB ports into the computer, the green light on the hard drive turns on, but the others next to it don’t, and the computer doesn’t read it at all; nothing is marked, and it’s not in My Computer. I don’t understand, so if someone can help me, please. By the way, I don’t know much, so please don’t use complicated words. Thank you in advance.
I'm having the same issue with mine:
Hello, I have a big problem with my multimedia hard drive Storex mpix-252 120GB that I bought just a year ago. There was the equivalent of 110 GB of data stored on the drive (photos, videos, music, personal files). Anyway, a few days ago when I connected it to the TV, a message appeared saying "NO DISK." I turned it off and then back on, and I was able to access my files on the TV. However, just a few days later when I tried to reconnect it to the computer, I lost all access to the hard drive. When I connect my hard drive to both USB ports as usual, the computer detects the drive, but I can no longer access it; in fact, the icon doesn't even show up in the file explorer. I've also noticed that in addition to the green light indicating power (State), the orange light indicating access (Access) is lit up, and what's unusual is that it is blinking. Additionally, when I connect the drive to the television and after 10 attempts, I still get the same "NO DISK" message. This time, I can't manage to get it to work. Can someone help me?

Hello!!
Have you tried opening the MPix 252B to see if your hard drive is properly connected?
Because the Storex software can work even if you don't have a hard drive inside!!!
Otherwise, try using a program to recover your data and then format it in FAT32.
Be careful not to format it in NTFS, otherwise you'll end up like me with a hard drive that doesn't show up on my desktop but is still in the devices!!
And now I don't know how to recover or even format it...

hello
well, I called the storex hotline and they gave me a file BANK30.ROM
actually, it reinstalls all the storex software + updates, but it still tells me no disk
so now it's good, I've tried everything, even the hotline told me to bring it back for repair
so if someone has found a solution before I throw it in the trash
thanks to all

hello, I'm using my storex as an external hard drive, and I'm stuck on OS X. I can't get a file out or put one in; I'm told I don't have the necessary permissions. When I put the installation CD-ROM back in, nothing loads... I don't understand...
OS X, you mean XP?
If that's the case, you shouldn't install the driver (page 8/32 of the user manual), so I advise you to uninstall this driver, restart your computer, and reconnect your Storex.
If no window opens (USB recognition), go to My Computer, and there you will find a new icon "STOREX" next to your various ports and hard drive; that's your MPIX.

OS X is the Windows of Apple!!! Mac OS X, Tiger, Panther, Leopard, all of that... And I don't even understand how I could uninstall drivers that I never installed, since the manual says that the Storex is automatically recognized by OS X!!!
Indeed, it appears on the desktop and everything, but I can't put anything on it, nor can I take out the documents, music... that are already on it... useless hard drive, really...
HELP!!!!!

hello!
it's completely normal, XP doesn't want to format above 32GB
so use a program like SwissKnife V3.22 available here:
http://www.compuapps.com/download/Swissknife/swissknife.htm
or this one, which is the simplest and the one I personally use, is Fat32Formatter available here:
https://www.clubic.com/telecharger-fiche189948-fat32formatter.html
you need to format it as FAT32 otherwise it might not work on the TV
there you go, take care

hello
I think it's due to the USB cable
at home I have 2 cables, the 1st one bought in a supermarket, when I plug it in, you hear a little click..click..click..click
that means that basically there’s no power access; and with that, I've never been able to get my hard drive to work!
and the other cable is almost the same, it also clicks, but it all depends on the USB port it's plugged into, and I also have to fiddle with it a bit!
basically, to find out where the problem comes from:
#Plug in and try different USB ports
#If you hear clicks, that's rather a good sign, it means it’s the cable
#If you have a Y cable, with 3 USB plugs, that’s the best solution, with it you have all the power needed to properly power the hard drive!
#It's possible that the hard drive isn't plugged in properly, so unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom of the storex, and disconnect and reconnect your hard drive, it's very very simple, it comes right off, then add a small pad to prevent it from moving in the future!
aside from that, I have no other ideas!
you should try it on another PC to see, but at least it works!
I bought 3 hard drives and for all 3 it says "no disk"
I even bought another pocket media case "kingéléphant" and it also says "no disk"
even their jack cable with the 3 RCA plugs (red, white, yellow) is unique...
there are some available in supermarkets, but the jack plug is way too small, so I have to order from storex 15 euros for the cable, 15 euros for the remote...
in any case, if it works, let us know!!
it could help other people please
thank you

Hello,
I think it’s more serious than that, as I have already tried all these manipulations with no result. I changed PCs and it yields the same result.
What surprises me is that when connected directly to the television, it works. Certainly, a problem with the USB power supply but not with the cable.
Finally, I thank you all for your dedication and I apologize for the inconvenience.
Have a good day everyone
Best regards,
M Estevez
