Wireless Type is not currently enabled.

Hello,

I would like to configure my PC for Wi-Fi. The problem is that when I go to Manage
Wireless Networks it says that the Wireless Type is not currently enabled. I went into Services to set Wireless Auto Configuration to automatic, but it wasn't present; there was only Wired Auto Configuration.

Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.6

    Re,

Go to the Start menu, then Run. Here, we will enter the command "services.msc" without the quotes. You will get a window containing all the local Windows services.

In this list, we will search for the service named: "Network List Service". Once this line is located, right-click and select Properties. Check two things here:

    * Startup type: Make sure it is set to "Automatic", otherwise set it to "Automatic".
    * Service status: it should indicate "Started", if not, click the "Start" button just below.

Once this is done, confirm by clicking "OK", then close the various open windows.

Thank you for the advice: I have exactly the same problem as the one who asked the question, I did as instructed, and not only is it not connecting me to the wireless any more, but my wired ADSL connection seems to no longer be working!

I clearly said that the Wireless Type is not currently activated so I can't configure anything.

Hello; it may be that your router is disabled on Windows
so: right click on Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Network adapters > click on Driver > in the tab: General
This device is working properly otherwise it must be disabled. Click on it to enable it and there you go, it's done.
