Is 40KB/s download speed normal?

Hello,

While doing a test on a site, I found that my internet connection speed was as follows: Bandwidth 56.752 Kbps (7.094 Ko/sec)
which would be equivalent to a 56k Modem 56 Kbps (7 Ko/sec)

However, there is a problem: I pay for high-speed internet! And I have this very slow connection for a few months now.
I want to download a game, but it's taking a very long time because I'm at 35Ko/s....
I'm not very knowledgeable, but I feel like something is wrong: before I could download anything very quickly...

I have Orange (livebox) and I am connected via Wi-Fi (same thing with my desktop computer!)

Is there a way to fix this problem?

    I don't understand the response from SaM SonG which I find really unpleasant. It's a forum, and if people are not cordial, I don't see how they can help each other. I use howçamarche very often, and I have never come across people like that!

    No, it's a game (Sims 3) that I paid for on the EA Store!
    And I'm downloading it via EA Download Manager! Let's just say it's not free, so I would like my download to be completed.

    And yes! I'm downloading legally and I've never downloaded illegally. I pay for it!

    Hello and let's stay calm. Aside from the fact that downloading a game or software can vary from one site to another, I remind you that the sales started yesterday and that the "web" is particularly crowded. I believe the "pipes" are too small (lol) and you need to have strong nerves. I've noticed a really slow browsing experience since yesterday on my end. Have a good day anyway.

      Yes, me too, I downloaded the suite of a software at 120kb/s today while yesterday morning it was rather 1.2Mb/s... strange.

    But is 40KB/s considered high speed?
    Is it normal: I am downloading at around 40KB/s, while before I had more (or at least downloads, or even videos, loaded faster)

    As it's a cracked game (I deduce). It's normal because the speed depends on the guy who sends it to you.

    And yeah, it's not that easy to crack.
