Hello everyone,
I received a promotion at my home regarding Windows maintenance... It's a book (500 pages) that can accommodate movable pages for updates. The title of this work is: The Windows Advisor, published by Publications Agora-99, rue de la Verrerie-75004 Paris. You can order it for free for 6 weeks. After this period, you either buy it (29.97 euros, on sale) or return it.
My question: has anyone heard of this book? How much credibility can we give it? Thank you in advance for your answers.
See you soon

Hi,
personally I've never heard of this kind of publication.
The only advice I would give is not to follow up because if it could solve all the problems of Windows, there would be more buzz about it, and also because all the information they could provide is already available either online (for free) or in books that seem more serious to me.
And in case of problems, there’s this forum ; )

Do what must be done! ...do not hesitate, show no mercy!
I received the Windows advisor and applied it to my 5 computers, and I sent the check; I'm so amazed by the space saved and the speed. I hope the rest will be just as good.
Good evening Saga9,
Thank you for the quick response you gave me. I asked the same question on several forums, and so far, all the answers I have received are in line with yours. Thanks again.

Hello,
I can talk at length about Windows Advisor since I've been with them for almost 3 years. There are good things and a lot of not-so-good things. Pierre Foulquier (Mr. 100% Windows) is a master in his field: the explanations are clear and simple, and the online help is a plus. Unfortunately, what surrounds it leaves much to be desired: the gadgets offered are prohibitively priced (a 128MB USB key almost the price of a 2GB USB key! A CD binder twice as expensive as elsewhere!) As for the subscription fee (I was paying €19.90), I see it has increased to €29.90... that's quite expensive for a year. One piece of advice: for those who want to subscribe, do not forget to pay your subscription on time NO COMMERCIAL GESTURE AND NO EXCUSE WILL BE TOLERATED all accompanied by a letter bordering on rudeness and a fine of €21.50 for non-payment..... you are clients, so you must be good cash cows and stay silent (I’m being polite because normally I would use a different expression!) As for Vista, I agree with Mr. Foulquier: let’s wait until 2010 for this version of Windows to shed all its teenage acne.... Now everyone is free... to whom it may concern, take care.

Hello
Indeed, this current book or update is very good, I am a customer, the price being not in the gift, the update is €20, which makes the page €1 for the very, very good advice, nothing to say, especially since I am a pro in IT and still discover tricks
Happy reading, only the test will be your judge.

Hello, I received the CW in May, and when I executed the setup, not being a fan of the mess, I wasn't disappointed by the experience. A collection of stickers on the non-functional screen and a blockage of my printer, and despite my messages and complaint letters, I was disregarded. My equipment remained stuck for a month waiting for a response from Father Foulquier or customer service. I had to pay an expert to handle it and refused to return or pay for the equipment while awaiting a serious response from the CW; however, I was informed that if I were with Orange, I shouldn't be surprised by the outcome since I can't tell you where the issue comes from; the barn is large.
Oh dear! Let me tell you what is happening to me with these crooks (there's no other word for it). I receive an enticing advertisement, I respond to it, but without signing anything. I get a first leaflet with a CD. I find it not great; all this information can be found cheaper in books like "Windows for Dummies" or others. I pay for the first shipment. But the others follow, at a regular pace, without me having asked for anything or signed anything. This is therefore forced selling, without the client's agreement; they send the merchandise and then make the client pay. I'm thinking that if I don't pay, they'll stop their shipments, but no. They send everything, and in the end, you receive a staggering bill, for me, 160 euros, with a demand for payment, threats, etc. I still refuse to pay, and now they're threatening me with bailiffs, because these con artists are ready to do anything. So, refuse this kind of mailing; these high-pressure sales tactics should no longer exist, as they violate consumer rights.
Hello, I'm exactly in your situation... tempting ad in October 2007: I ordered and paid (15 €) for their CD and documents.
In the following months, I received CDs and documents that I hadn't ordered... which I therefore didn't pay for... threatening letters... debt collection letters from a certain company "HOIST"... threat of bailiff!!!
What a scam!!!
We must be many in this case... how can we defend ourselves against these scammers of forced sales?
