Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello everyone,

I just got Battlefield 2 on PC, and I wanted to set up a Logitech Dual Action controller because I hate playing with the keyboard. The problem is that there are many more keys on the keyboard than on the controller, so we can't configure everything.
Does anyone have an example of a configuration, please, because I'm struggling a bit? Besides, when I adjust the sensitivity for looking up, down, left, and right, it’s all over the place, and I’ve tried to set this option but it doesn't work.
Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi

Like you, I struggled for a long time wanting to play FPS with a controller on PC

Knowing that I have an XBOX 360 controller, which is a pretty good controller after all (I can't even imagine using a mid-range controller, what a nightmare!)

Anyway, I used Xpadder to configure the controller (it recognizes other controllers, it's up to you to see if yours is recognized)

It allows you to adjust all the settings, especially the joystick sensitivity

With a bit of searching, you can even find pre-made profiles:

However, specifically for Bad Company, none of the settings were satisfactory to me, so I decided to switch to keyboard and mouse, and honestly, the precision with the mouse is so much better (especially since I have a good mouse (Logitech X7)), that it's absolutely unthinkable to go back to the controller!

It's true for the camera and shooting precision, but for movement, I haven't gotten used to preferring the keyboard yet; in that regard, the controller is still more effective in my opinion

The ideal would be some sort of controller-mouse hybrid that would bring the enjoyment of controller movement, combined with the speed and precision of the mouse...

Until that exists, I’ll stick with keyboard + mouse

Yes, the Xbox controller is one of the most reliable on PC, normal since PC and Xbox = Microsoft
you configure your controller and a pad next to it or a keyboard.

    Hi everyone
I have the same problem with the right joystick used for aiming with the gun; it's super sensitive, like a 360 in less than a second... You can imagine,
So if there is a config or a setting available, please let us know, thanks in advance?

Have you thought about installing Punkbuster on your PC?

It's an anti-cheat software necessary for playing online on BFBC2, I believe!
