How to remove the search toolbar

Hi, you can usually uninstall it from the control panel...

Go to add/remove programs

and look for the program search or my web search. The names may vary.

With the regCleaner software, it should show you all your programs and you can choose to remove whatever you want.

I managed to remove search with a small freeware that needs to be downloaded.

I have exactly the same problem: I can't remove the search bar, I tried to delete it from the list of programs in the control panel, I have used a registry cleaner but I also can't find the search bar in the program names...

Then attach a HijackThis log, download HijackThis here:

Unzip it into a designated folder.
For example, C:\hijackthis < Save it well in c: !
Run it then:
click on "do a system scan and save logfile" (see demo)
copy and paste the entire log on the forum

If you're all talking about the Search bar in the start menu, it's to the registry that you need to address!!!
In HCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer, add a new DWORD value named NoFind and set its value to 1.

I did what luis74 said but the bar won't go away!! I turned off and on the internet too!!

Yay, it's been 2 weeks since mywebsearch bar was stuck and it worked thanks to the control panel.

Pour enlever la barre d'outil Google, vous pouvez suivre ces étapes :

1. Ouvrez votre navigateur.
2. Cliquez sur le menu en haut à droite (souvent représenté par trois points ou trois barres).
3. Accédez à "Extensions" ou "Modules complémentaires".
4. Recherchez la barre d'outil Google dans la liste des extensions installées.
5. Cliquez sur "Désactiver" ou "Supprimer" pour vous débarrasser de la barre d'outil.
