Hello,

I just created a website with Guppy. Everything seemed to be working well but I have error messages and I can't access the admin (it tells me You do not have access to the administration.
Please contact the main administrator). Can you help me because I am a beginner and I don't see how to solve the problem. My site is http://marine5.carpettediem.fr/guppy/ . Please hurry as I need to finish this site before March 26. THANK YOU

Here is an 'excerpt' from the error messages I have:

Warning: fopen(data/logh.dtb) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /data/members/free/multimania/fr/m/a/r/marine5/htdocs/guppy/inc/functions.php on line 641

    Hello,

You should post your question on the GuppY forum: http://www.freeguppy.org/forum.php?lng=en&cat=100
but in my opinion, it is a permissions issue related to reading and writing (CHMOD) on your files.

It's definitely a CHMOD issue. I was given the files on which I had to do something, but what should I do with these files? Should I execute them? Should I delete them?

    Good evening,

The CHMOD needs to be changed, that is to say, change the write and read permissions.
Under GuppY, I think you need to set a CHMOD of 777. From your FTP client, you need to select the file(s) or folder(s) and look in your software for this function. Under Linux with gFTP, you need to right-click on the file, then "permissions" and check the rights to assign. Under Windows with LeechFTP, you also need to right-click and "Set attributes...", then check the rights to assign.

Yes, I managed with a bit of logic. Besides, the files to be changed were marked. Thank you for your help.

Hello Marine! The problem is not solved at all. The Chmods have not been applied. This is done via FTP, according to the information specified in the GuppY readme.
The error messages also suggest that the host only provides a lightweight PHP and might not allow to run a GuppY site properly, regardless of the configuration. If it's indeed Multimania, the hosting is, unless there's been a very recent change in their service conditions, not worth it and it's better to find something else. Free or OVH offer free hosting to get started.
