Thank you for your response Rad, it really helps me.

Yes, of course I was connected to the internet.
The product is registered on Adobe and I have the activation key.

But nothing opens.

Hello,

With a bit of delay, I had the same issue and to fix it, you just need to rename the Dreamweaver folder located in Documents and Settings/Your username/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver...
You rename it to old for example, and restart Dreamweaver, and it should work normally.

There you go ;)

Hi Kiara,
Well, you need to reinstall (first uninstall everything and remove all traces).
This happens to me from time to time, that's why I have a backup using Ghost and the software is installed on a second drive (more specifically a partition).
If you want, my hard drive (C:) is divided into several parts (D: E: F: etc...)
On C= windows only
on D=applications
on E=data (not in my documents)
on F=copies (it's actually a second hard drive...)
Good luck!

Hello Kiara,
Are you connected when you start Dreamweaver?
Because if you reinstalled it, it will check on the Macromedia site that it has been validated. As long as it isn’t validated, it won’t open (but you should get a message (like: activation in progress or something like that...)

Hello everyone,
Yes, yes! Connected to the Internet, of course! Upon the first launch, Dreamweaver will check with its publisher (Macromedia, now bought by Adobe) if the software has been paid for and activated (for this you need to register on the website to receive the activation key.
Note: this can also be done by phone (be prepared with something to write on).
Good luck!
