Hello,
I have a BlackBerry Curve and an 8-gigabyte memory card since October. It is filled with music, videos, and images, but recently I lent it to someone for a few minutes to put it in their phone, and now my phone displays:
"The inserted Media Card contains errors. To fix them, run a disk check utility using a computer" and following that message it confirms that the memory card has indeed been inserted. So I would like your help in resolving this issue since it is quite annoying because now my phone is only useful for sending and receiving messages... what a pity.
Thank you in advance for your responses

Hello,
so I had the same problem as you, so to solve it without having to format, you need to connect the Blackberry to the computer. Then when it recognizes your memory card, go to "my computer," right-click on the icon representing your Blackberry's memory card and then click on "properties." Once you've done that, a window opens, go to "tools," and there you have two choices: either "check volume" or "defragment." Choose "check volume" and click on "check now." Another window opens, check both possible boxes and start the check.
When it's finished, your card is operational and you also keep all your photos, your music... Peace!-

It may be that even through this maneuver it does not work, so proceed as follows.
The Blackberry has two memories: the device and the media card. Copy your defective media card to the internal memory of the BB, format your memory card once the transfer is complete, and do the operation in the reverse order! Everything will be fixed.
The BB range is not really made for music files, so be careful with downloads.
Best regards.

I had the same problem, and I just fixed it, here's how:
By connecting the BB, the autoplay window opens, I clicked on "Speed up my system with Windows Readyboost."
Another window opens, I went to the "Tools" tab and used the error checking tool, and the problem was solved! -
Je n'arrive pas à enregistrer directement les photos que je prends sur ma carte mémoire, elles s'enregistrent dans le Blackberry. Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

La famille BB, please help me. I have two problems: I can't read the videos without downloading them, and even when I try to download them, it always fails. Another thing is that if I remove the memory card to insert it into the PC, and then put it back into the BB, it doesn't read the songs, videos, and photos that were downloaded. Thank you, I look forward to your help.

You take an adapter, slip your memory card into it, and put it in your computer. Once this is done, an automatic execution will appear; you close it, then go to My Computer (or Computer), right-click on the SD card, and format your memory card. After that, insert it back into your Blackberry, and everything will go back to the way it was.
I hope this helps you

I'm not here to help you, on the contrary! I have the same problem as you! When I connect the cable to retrieve the data from my micro SD, I can't do it either!
If you have a solution, I would be interested! -
I have the same problem as you!!! So I also inserted it into another laptop and since then it shows the same message, so I would also like to know a solution if you have one, thank you!!!

I don't have a cable to connect it to my PC, and my phone indicates that a card has errors. Would you like to repair it? I responded yes, but they couldn't succeed! What should I do, please??
Thank you -
I had the same problem, but by following your advice, I formatted as you explained. As a result, I lost all my photos, videos, music, etc. I have nothing left --'

Just go to the SD card and delete the "BB thumbs dat." you will find in some folders on the SD card; that's what causes the errors. I just did it and everything is working wonderfully :)

Solution !! You connect the Bb to the computer and answer yes to the question regarding mass storage, then you try to open disk H, which is the card. The computer asks you to proceed with formatting the card, which you accept, then the computer indicates that formatting is impossible. Disconnect the Bb and wait a few seconds. The Bb will offer you a formatting option; execute it and everything will be back to normal.

Despite all your advice, my Bold 9700 still doesn't recognize my memory card, the phone shows "fatal error". I formatted it by inserting the micro SD into the computer but still nothing... I've lost all my data and my micro SD still doesn't work with the phone; now, I'm using it for my camera... LOL
Otherwise, even when I connect the BB to the computer, it doesn't appear on the workstation (it's a hassle...) I don't know what to do anymore... so bummed... pfffffffffffffffff -
I had the same problem and I went to the SD card menu and I repaired it. I didn’t lose anything that was on it and I haven’t had any problems since...

Hello,
In the workplace, you will find the location of the media card
then right-click and format (quick)
and that's it. -

Hello, I had the same problem but with a MacBook, and I finally succeeded! I don't know if it was luck or not, but out of solidarity, I felt compelled to create an account to share what happened: my flash memory card was not readable on the laptop, but it was on the computer. I searched for all the manipulations and found nothing, and I ejected the device but didn't unplug it. While it was still plugged in, I went to check my photos, etc., and there was a message that said something like "unplug the USB cable to view the content of the memory card." I unplugged it, and then it downloaded all my files, and everything works again!
I hope this works for people who are struggling!
