Hello,

Every time I turn on my PC, I get this message:

"Cannot connect to file system. InCD service not running"

1) What does that mean?
2) Is it serious?
3) If so, what should I do to stop seeing this message?

Thank you for your answers...
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.5.7

    Hello,

No, it's not a problem. Just that you need to have InCD installed on your PC with automatic startup at the same time as the PC, except that the related service isn't starting at the same time. Hence the message.

Either you make sure that the service is set to automatic or you uninstall InCD.

There is no best antivirus. The only real barrier is the user; the only danger is the user.

Yes, but what is InCD for? It's strange because I haven't installed anything like that in the last few days, actually since I got this message...

InCD is a software that allows you to turn your CDs or DVDs into "disks" like a USB flash drive or a hard drive. Basically, you can save things and remove them without going through a burning software and without having to completely erase the CD/DVD to save new data.

For example, you copy 3 Word documents, 2 MP3s, and a video, and then you decide to delete the video as if you were on a USB stick or on your hard drive. Just click on "Delete" and the file disappears.

But for this to work, the CDs/DVDs must still be in a burner.

I've never installed something like this (that's what worries me...) but thank you anyway.

Are you the only one using the PC?
