Hello,

I have a Medion laptop and suddenly my PC won't activate the Wi-Fi (the activation light does not come on and I don’t have access to my wireless network)
I've searched for a long time but I can't find anything...
Can someone help me, it's quite important as I'm a student and without my computer I'm a bit lost...

For your information:
I have Windows XP Home and I'm not very skilled so I need a lot of explanations...

Thanks in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.3

Well, I don't see a wifi card in there... is there anything with a ? or a ! in yellow at the top of the list?

I noticed that my computer no longer shows my Wi-Fi card... Before, when the Wi-Fi was turned off, I could see that my computer wasn't finding any networks in range, but now there is nothing indicating that I have Wi-Fi...
I tried a system restore, but it didn't work...
I'm completely lost and I don't know if it's a software or hardware issue...

The ABG, I don't know what it is, but "wireless" = no wires... so choose this one!

Hello...

To activate the Wi-Fi, you often have to press Fn+F2.... or some other combination... have you tried?

Best regards,

See you later

On my PC, activation is done with FN+F1, but the problem is that no matter how hard I try, my Wi-Fi won't turn on :(

Try going to "add equipment," have him look for your card..

It is possible that your internal wifi card is dead... but I suppose that what you call "mechanics" refers to the hardware as opposed to the software which includes drivers, programs...
Saul, the DVD drive, has nothing mechanical inside it!
Let me know about the addition of hardware....

@+

Otherwise, you have the option of getting a wifi dongle, it works very well for not much money (about €25)...

No, in fact by the "" I meant that it’s the same as above, it’s just the numbers that change.

Well, I did it for both, and now they appear in the device manager but with a '!'

It's somewhat normal that he can't find the drivers; he should go look for them online...
The solution would be to connect via Ethernet (the cable!) temporarily to update everything... can you do that?

Hardly... that would mean going online to find the drivers with another PC, copying them onto a USB stick, and then putting them on this PC... complicated!
Whereas if you connected this PC via ethernet after installing the CD from your box, it would be easy...

Otherwise, there's the simplest solution: buy a Wi-Fi USB stick... which has the advantage of being able to work on any PC you want, just by installing the CD beforehand...

I installed a key but my PC can't find any driver...
We're reaching the end of the possibilities, I think.

To install a key, you must FIRST install the software with the CD... did you do it?

I'm working on it and in the network adapters it gives me these two:
- Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
and
- '' '' '' 2915ABG " " "

I don't know which one to choose..
Any ideas? Thanks again for your help.
