My handset displays "search" how to do?

Hello,

I was given a fixed phone of the brand Logicom, model Iloa 1000. I found the user manual online, but I still have no solution to my problem:
the handset displays "search" on the screen, I have tried everything but it doesn't work! Does anyone have a solution?

Hello...

I assume it's a wireless phone, even though it's stationary?
You probably need to press the button on the base that is used to locate it, until you get either a beep or a blinking LED, and at that point, it should find it...

Hello Poupougne,  As I mentioned, it is indeed a landline phone. I have performed this operation several times but there has been no response from the base!?! Any other advice...?  Thank you

Fixed with a wire connecting it to the base or a DECT fixed?
What menus do you have on the handset if it's a DECT?
If it’s wired, I don’t understand: "search" is displayed on the mobile screen, is that right?

I must have misunderstood: it's a landline with a cordless handset. It's a DECT, right?
The cordless handset is displaying "search" while blinking! There are many menus: log-directory-base settings-handset settings-pairing-default-

I already tried to reset the handset but it won't let me enter the PIN code!!!

Here is an excerpt from the manual I found online, I followed exactly this procedure but in the end, no beep, no sign!!! Nothing

ASSOCIATING A HANDSET WITH A BASE
Accessing this function requires knowledge of the base’s PIN code (0000 by
default).
A base can register up to 6 handsets.
To register a handset on a base, follow the steps below:
On the base:
· Press and hold the button for 10 seconds
· The base is in pairing mode for 3 minutes, now follow the steps to be done on the handset.
On the handset to be registered:
· Press the button
· "JOURNAL" appears on the screen
· Use the keys and to select "ASSOCIATION"
· Press the button
· Use the keys and to select the base on which the handset should be
registered.
· Press the button
· "PIN? ----" appears on the screen.
· Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter the PIN code of the base (0000 by
default) on which this handset will be registered
· Press the button
· "CHERCHE" appears on the screen.
· A beep will inform you that the handset has been registered with the base.

You may need to change the number or the letter of the base... otherwise, it's indeed the right approach... unless your mobile has a problem...

Change the number or the letter of the base??? What the heck??? I just noticed that I could modify the name I think, is it the same thing?

Sorry for all these questions but I would like to avoid taking it to a specialist!!!

When you press the button on the base, does a diode start blinking, or do you hear a beep?
Regarding the letter or number of the base, yes, it's the same as its name...your mobile might be searching for a different base than the one you have...so by changing this name, number...it might work, but I'm surprised that, the mobile being originally paired with this base, it doesn't recognize it!
Are you near the base when you do all this?
No GSM or >WIFI...between the base and the mobile, or too close?

Actually, neither one nor the other!!! It's strange, yet I know there isn't another handset since I have the original box...
I'm close to the base, less than 50cm, I even tried the handset directly on it, with the TV and the Freebox further away!
I changed the name of the handset but the base still doesn't respond, I think I'm going to have to resign myself to taking it to a repair shop... too bad!
Anyway, thanks to you for your patience and your advice!

I found a customer service number at the bottom, written in very small print. I'll call them tomorrow; if I find a solution, I'll come and post it!

You need to press and hold the base button for a while... is there a diode on the base or not?
I believe I understood that the base has a wired handset? Have you tried with it picked up AND without picking it up?
On the base, do you have a menu?

Yes, you need to press for 10 seconds... on the base there’s neither a diode nor a menu nor an answering machine, just one button that serves to find a lost handset! The handset is cordless, I’m going to try to send you a pic! I can't manage...
