How long does a repair take?

Hello,
a friend has sent his computer for repair
his computer is Windows 7 made by HP
the issue was a problem with the ventilation
which was buzzing!
how long do you think the repair might take?

    Good evening,

    the standard repair times with manufacturers are often 2 to 4 or 5 weeks. Unless you have a support contract that specifies a maximum time frame.
