Create DLNA network

Hello,
Someone in my family has a Sony LCD TV with an RJ45 port and would like to play videos stored on their desktop PC on this TV. In the TV's documentation, I saw that this RJ45 port is used to read files via a DLNA network available on Sony devices, but of course, the PC in question is not a Sony. Is there a way to create a DLNA server on this PC to play videos on that TV??

Thank you

      Hello,
No need to have a Sony as a PC; I have a BRAVIA 52w5500 and it is connected to my laptop (Packard Bell) via my Neuf box.
The PC is connected via Wi-Fi to the Neuf, and the TV is connected via Ethernet to port PC1.
I set this up the day before yesterday, so I'm just starting out.
I'm having trouble with videos, but photos and music are working perfectly.
So, if I can help you, don't hesitate!

normally, you just need to enable multimedia content sharing in Windows from Windows XP and onwards, create a VLAN, and all devices connected to the VLAN will interact with each other. Note that without a VLAN, there is no DLNA home network (DLNA being a standard based on the UPnP protocol).

Hello, Windows Media Player 11 supports DLNA, so if you launch it and browse the network with your TV, it should work.
