Hello,
I received Windows 7 for Christmas and I would like to install it on my FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO M3438G laptop, which is about 4-5 years old, but on which W7 is compatible!
I ran the program compatibility check and here is the message I received:
Intel(R) Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection: Recommended action: Before installing W7, please visit the manufacturer's website and download the latest device driver.
I go to the manufacturer's website and I see: "What if I have an Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection or Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection installed on my PC?
The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection and Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection are not supported on Windows 7*.
How do I upgrade from Windows XP* to Windows 7?
Please contact your computer manufacturer or Microsoft for upgrade instructions related to this scenario."
Has anyone else experienced the same issue as me?
I am not willing to upgrade to W7 if I know I won't be able to use my WiFi.
I find it absurd that Intel no longer provides drivers to upgrade to W7 for my device.
Has anyone found a way to solve this problem????
Thanks in advance!
