Move the bcd file from the boot folder.

Hello, one of my hard drives (X:/) is dying (at least I think so) as it is detected every other time. The problem, and I just learned this, is that it contains the bootmgr file and the boot folder which itself contains the bcd file, so Windows cannot start every other time.
However, the Windows folder is on another hard drive (C:/).
I tried copying bootmgr and the boot folder to C:/ thinking naively that I could boot from C:/, but the bcd file in boot cannot be copied.
I then launched the command prompt in the Repair Your Computer option by pressing F8 at startup, and the X: hard drive is completely different in the command prompt compared to X: in Explorer.
That is to say, it apparently does not contain the same folders, especially the boot folder which interests me, as if I were accessing a hidden volume of X:/.
My question would therefore be, is it possible to access the volume of X: that I see in Explorer from the command prompt in order to copy the bcd file to C:/

Thank you very much to those who had the patience to read this message.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 14.0.1

So for those who might be interested one day, I managed to boot from c:/ (finally) by moving the file boot\bcd.backup.0001 from x:\ to c:\ and simply renaming it to bcd, for now it works...
