Yellow triangle with exclamation mark

Hello everyone,
I have a problem!!! From time to time, a yellow triangular icon with an exclamation point appears in the taskbar... This icon is accompanied by a message "security warning" and when I double-click it, it opens a webpage offering antivirus, anti-spyware solutions, etc. all in English...

What’s weird is that the message varies. It either tells me that I’m infected with a virus or with spyware. After running four different anti-spyware programs and my antivirus, the problem persists.

At the moment I’m writing, a message just appeared saying "internet security data," and if I double-click on it, I’m taken to this address: http://securitydownload.net/soft/search.php?qq=backup%20software

I don’t understand anything anymore!!! Please Help me!!!
Configuration: Win XP SP2 Norton antivirus Firewall XP Spybot Ad aware SE

    Hi,
    download hijackthis here:
    https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/securite/11747-hijackthis/
    Help is here:
    https://www.zebulon.fr/dossiers/securite/56-analyse-rapports-hijackthis.html

Unzip it into a folder intended for this purpose.
    For example C:\hijackthis
    run it then:
click on "do a system scan and save logfile"
copy and paste the entire log on the forum.

    See you +

    Hello,

    Method to follow in order...
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
¤Download these 3 software but do not use them right away:

    Spybot S&D 1.4 and Ad-Aware SE 1.06 <<new versions
    http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
    http://www.safer-networking.org/fr/index.html

    3/Clean Up 312:
    http://pageperso.aol.fr/Balltrap34/CleanUp312.exe
    -----------------------------------------
    ¤Boot in safe mode:
To do this, tap the F8 key as soon as you start the PC without stopping
A window will open, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate to start in safe mode and then hit enter.
Once on the desktop, if there are no colors and other things, that's normal!
(If F8 does not work, use the F5 key)
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    ¤Disable your system restore:
    Right-click on My Computer then,
Properties, click on the System Restore tab
check the box to disable system restore and apply
    ------------------------------------
    ¤Show all files and folders:
    Click on start/control panel/folder options/view

    Check show hidden files

Uncheck the box "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)"

Uncheck hide extensions for known file types
Then click "Ok" to confirm the changes.

    And apply!
    ---------------------------------
¤Empty your temp and temporary internet files:
use this to do it (that you downloaded before)
    3/http://pageperso.aol.fr/Balltrap34/CleanUp312.exe
    --------------------------------------------
¤Restart Hijack This, check the boxes next to these lines and then click fix:

    ------------------------------------------
    ¤Search and delete this:
    warning only files

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\msole32.exe

    ---------------------------------
Run adaware and delete everything it finds
    ----------------------------------
Run spybot and delete everything it finds
    -----------------------------------
Empty your recycle bin and restart in normal mode and do another Hijack

Specify your issues if there are any left....

    Keep me posted

I just realized that the triangle came back even though no one touched the PC (however, it was connected to the internet since I have internet via cable...) The previous actions are therefore insufficient to completely eradicate the problem!! Is there anyone who has another idea?

    Thank you for helping me!!!

    Hello,

I had something like that and, in the end, I had in the file "documents and setting/user/application data" a folder containing "Delete Manager.exe" and another containing "Blue Hope Math.exe" which I was able to delete in safe mode.
Try to see if you have any unwanted programs that have been installed in this directory.

    Hello, yoazrt

    Method to follow in order...
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
¤Download these software but do not use them right away:

    ---------->Guide:http://www.safer-networking.org/fr/tutorial/index.html

    2/Ad-Aware SE 1.06 <<new version="" />http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ¤Start in safe mode:
To do this, repeatedly press the F8 key at the beginning of the PC startup without stopping
A window will open, use the arrow keys to select "Start in Safe Mode" and then press Enter.
Once on the desktop, if the colors and others are not all there, that’s normal!
(If F8 does not work, use the F5 key)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ¤Disable your system restore:
    Right-click on "My Computer" then,
properties, click on the "System Restore" tab
check the box to disable system restore and apply
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ¤Display all files and folders:
    Click on Start/Control Panel/Folder Options/View

Check "Show hidden files and folders"

Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)"

Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
Then click "OK" to validate the changes.

    And apply!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
¤Empty your temporary files and temporary internet files:
use this to do it (you downloaded it earlier)
    3/http://pageperso.aol.fr/Balltrap34/CleanUp312.exe
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
¤Restart Hijack This, check the boxes in front of these lines and then click on fix:

I don't know yet if everything is okay, but in the meantime, I wanted to post the hijack I have when I'm in safe mode... Is it just me or is it different from the one I did previously??? I can't find all the lines you told me to delete... In any case, I thank you all for your help, especially Regis59, who has been helping me from the beginning ;-D
