my wii doesn't recognize my controllers anymore!!! Solved

Hello,

I don't understand why my Wii no longer recognizes my controllers... I changed the batteries, I redid all the connections but nothing works, the pointer doesn't appear!

Recently I connected them to my brother's Wii and they worked, and now for the first time since that day, I wanted to play but nothing!

It's also been a little while that I've had an issue with the Wii because once it's turned off, the light stays orange and if I leave a game inside, the game slot lights up blue from time to time as if it were on when it's not!!! I don't know what's going on, I don't understand anything!

Thank you! Yes, indeed, I connected it not long ago, so that's fine. But for the controllers... yes, I pressed the red button on the Wii and then on the controllers, but nothing happens... Actually, when I turn on the Wii (manually), it goes to the first screen where you have to press A, my cursor doesn't appear, so after a few seconds, it automatically goes to the menu... but since my cursor still doesn't appear, I can't do anything or go anywhere!

Try to sync your controller with the red button on the controller next to the batteries and on the Wii above the SD slot. Otherwise, it's normal for the light to stay orange; that's because it's still connected to the internet. When the slot flashes while it's off, it means you've received a message.

LOL!!! I managed to reconnect my controllers!!! I just had to hold down the red buttons!!! I wasn't doing that, so it couldn't work... I just tested it and the cursor on my controller has come back!!! Don't hold it against me, I'm a beginner ;) Thank you so much... discussion resolved! Happy holidays!

The discussion is not yet resolved; the orange light remains when your Wii is off, and the slot lights up blue when a game is left inside.

As for the orange light, it's very simple; it indicates that your Wii is actually in "standby" mode, meaning it is connected to the internet and searching for updates.

The blue slot light is quite strange; it normally only lights up when you insert a game (but it does not stay on).

Hi,
The disc insertion slot lights up blue when the Wii has found an update online or when a message has arrived. You can read these messages by clicking on the envelope at the bottom right of the Wii's home page.
