Wii Sports Resort with or without MotionPlus

I would like to buy the used game Wii Sports Resort and I was wondering if the game works without the Wii MotionPlus. Can you play it without? Do you need two MotionPlus controllers to play with two players?

The thing is you can play Wii Sports Resort with two players using a Wii Motion Plus. THE HACK IS THAT WHEN YOU HAVE CONTROLLER 1 WITH THE WII MOTION PLUS, once you're in the game's main menu, you remove the Motion Plus from controller 1 and put it into controller 2. Then, for example, you go to the ping pong game and there you'll see on the screen showing the number of players that both controllers have the Motion Plus, so you can play with two players using one Motion Plus for all the Wii Sports Resort games.
