Hello,
I just received an Acer Aspire X1301. It looks really great, but the problem is that it won't turn on.
I connected the screen, mouse, and keyboard, plugged everything into my power strip, turned on the power strip, and... the screen is okay, but the CPU is nothing. It's as if it "isn't powered." I tried switching the power cords, but it's still the same. The connection manual is beyond simple; there’s nothing in it. Did I forget something, or should I bring it back this week?
Thanks for helping me ^^

Hello everyone,
Indeed, the Acer X1301 mini towers have an issue, but it's a minor one.
They work very well.
The problem at startup that everyone experiences is due to a capacitor on the motherboard that needs to charge before the PC can be launched.
So my advice is, before returning or exchanging your product, leave it plugged in for about 30 minutes without touching it, and then it will run smoothly.
For your information, I am an IT repair technician; this is the fourth one I've seen this month, and the solution is always the same.
In stores, you are dealing with salespeople, not technicians (most of the time), so they don't give you the little tips.
Have a good day. -
Hi, I also bought an Acer Aspire X1301, I just received it and it doesn't start either.
Moreover, I notice that the one I ordered had DDR3 RAM and this one has DDR2, can it still be exchanged?
Thank you.-

I had the same surprise this morning when setting up my x1301, nothing at startup, what can we do?
I have the impression that considering the number of similar cases, we will have a hard time getting the product exchanged as standard.
Wouldn't it be better to get a refund and switch to another product?
Can we consider alerting a consumer association? -
I have the same problem as you with the power button; you have to press it in the right spot and sometimes for a very long time for it to turn on. I find it outrageous that I'm being asked to return my PC at my own expense by registered mail to ST Quentin 38239. This is the last time I order online, especially from Rue du Commerce. My PC was purchased on 12/09/09, and it is still under warranty. One must be wary of discounts at Christmas.

Hello,
I have also acquired an ACER Aspire X1301-5F7R and it seems that I am experiencing the same problem as you....
No boot possible from the disk.
Boot failure
It is impossible to enter the BIOS using the Delete key or F2 (it seems to be an award type BIOS)
We cannot open the chassis to check the connections without risking voiding the warranty (a warranty seal is in place)
Has anyone else found a solution besides contacting Acer support?
Is there a way to enter the BIOS?
Thank you for your help and happy holidays nonetheless! -
Hello
Acer has a lot of problems
If the PC is under warranty, take it to the customer service without hesitation; they will see what’s going on. -
Hello,
surely a manufacturing error because there is no reason! The only thing to do is to return it with the warranty!! sorry
Best regards -
So there I was, I went back to the after-sales service of the store that sold me the defective product two days later, and he immediately offered me a full refund when I pointed out the mistake in the catalog, without checking if the PC even started or anything.
So here I am without a PC;
yesterday afternoon I went to a hypermarket and ordered a PC assembled by the store itself. While placing the order, I was chatting with the seller and he also questioned the reliability of the mini-towers from Acer. Further in the conversation, I learned that many mini-towers have the issue of buttons for launching =O

No, there is no switch...
I have a problem starting it... I have to try 3 or 4 times while holding the power button down for 20 to 30 seconds (or more) before it wants to start (and this happens every day)
Is anyone aware of this issue???
Thanks in advance -
Normally, this reference is no longer for sale by ACER due to the issues with the power button...

I bought it in December 2009, the problem appeared little by little. It no longer has an ACER warranty but is still under seller warranty (ldlc). I sent it back to them once; they thought it was coming from the motherboard and changed it. The problem reappeared a week later, so I will send it back to them (once again).

same problem, adding an inter doesn’t help, it’s more of a hardware issue now, a component that interrupts the PC’s startup, so the PC turns on and off after 2 seconds, there is really a problem and apparently no one has a solution, might as well throw it away and recover the HDD and DVD burner :-(((

Hello to the assistance, I too am looking to understand why my Acer Power F5 PC won't start.
Indeed, when I press the power button, the blue LED lights up just for the time I press my finger, then when I release the button, nothing happens.
I assure you I tested the power supply outside of the motherboard and it works very well.
So, I kindly ask you to share some troubleshooting ideas with me.

Hello, I replaced the power button, but there's no change. I had an ATX power supply to test if it wasn't the power supply, and as soon as I plugged it in (outside because it's too big), the PC restarted without any issues… Since I had a doubt about the button, I left the new one (recovered from an old case). Now my problem is finding the same power supply, but they're very expensive, or putting the components in a new case with a much cheaper power supply...
The case was also an Acer Ax1301.
