Hello everyone,
here's my problem, my computer starts up as soon as I plug in the power cord, I don't need to press the power button ... (I find this quite strange and also annoying because when I'm away I find it turned on when I return!)
Thank you in advance if you have a solution :) clarisse

Good evening, it's me again. I went into the BIOS but I couldn't find rebootOnPower!
In ADVANCED BIOS FEATURES there are:
Boot other Device -- Enable
Boot up Floppy seek -- Enable
Boot up numlock status -- on
So???? Thank you in advance

Hi
there's an option in the BIOS that allows you to disable the automatic reboot of the PC in case of a power cut (rebootOnPower or something like that..)
Restart your computer and then open the BIOS (delete/F2/... or just smash the keyboard until the BIOS appears) There you look for a rebootOnPower or something like that and set it to disable.
there you go, I think that could help

Hello, maybe it's in sleep mode.

Thank you very much, it works, I found "state after power failure" it was "aute", I switched it to off
and everything works wonderfully. This is GREAT
thank you again for your help.. :-)) have a good evening

Could it be that the power button is accidentally stuck? Try pressing it while the PC is on; does it have any effect?

I think it's a mechanical problem with the push button, the start button is stuck or shorted.

When you log out of Windows, do you click Start > Shut down, or do you let it shut down by itself?
-
Well, it depends on the version of the BIOS anyway..
To open the BIOS: if you find a section called "power management" or "rebootOnPower" (it depends on the BIOS), there will probably be the option "restore after power loss" which should be set to "power off".
There you go, but it does depend on the type and version of the BIOS! This is not always possible.
Good luck

Thank you for your responses. It's not the push button because I've already checked it, and I've been having this issue for a long time! However, I don't know where I can check the sleep mode.
Thank you in advance. -
Yes, when I shut down Windows, I click on Start and then Shut Down the computer.
I will try to access the BIOS, thanks, see you later
