Hello, I have a big problem that has been lasting for a long time. My Fujitsu Siemens laptop won’t start. When I press the power button the indicators lights up, the fan starts but the screen doesn’t light up at all. After many attempts the screen sometimes comes on, then an error message appears:
- previous boot incomplete error 0280
and it asks me to choose between F1, which doesn’t do much, and F2, which takes me to the BIOS. Then, in any of the solutions, the PC restarts and if I’m lucky the screen comes back and Windows starts normally, otherwise it repeats. Please help me, I’m getting tired of spending 2 to 3 hours (in the best case) for my PC to start. Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Good evening, I have exactly the same problem as you for a laptop (Fujitsu Siemens), I would like to know if you found the solution.
Have a good evening, thanks in advance for your reply to

this comes from your motherboard and it is a fault that can be repaired but which costs very expensive. I bought a computer again unfortunately because the part also costs as much as buying a new computer.

It's weird, I’m posting on a 2010 forum just in case someone has the same problem in 2016: I have the same issue but my PC shuts down at startup and sometimes when I press Escape the error appears. I looked into it and a sudden shutdown at startup came from the HDD, so I'm going to replace it. Otherwise, for those whose problem was not the same, they followed others' advice and replaced the motherboard (even though for me an incomplete startup often comes from the HDD, but anyway). Or tell me, did you check with a repair shop or have it repaired? Good luck to everyone.
