vertical multicolored stripes on Samsung LCD

Hello,
When I turn on my SAMSUNG LE 40R86 BD LCD TV, I only see vertical colored lines on the screen. This happened after a failure (4 burnt capacitors on the power board). I'm afraid the worst for the panel. Does anyone have any ideas about this problem?

I have the same issue, except that when I got up, I accidentally hit the screen with my Xbox controller, and now it doesn't work anymore. There's just a small impact point and some "cracks" with vertical and horizontal gray/black lines and pink, green, blue streaks...

I went to Conforama because I had taken a 100 euro warranty, yay, which doesn’t work despite the seller assuring me that it would at the time of purchase (on xx.11.2009)! I would like to know how much a repair for this kind of damage could cost? Knowing that my screen is the Samsung LE40B530.

Do you know if insurance like GMF can be contacted to cover the repair costs?

Your slab that is dead... Especially if you have defects. It could be a manufacturing defect in which case have it checked by an expert who will give you the verdict. Or it could be your slab that is down.

Your TV is "old"; it would be cheaper to get a new one or one on clearance: http://www.rueducommerce.fr/destockage/9-TV-et-Lecteurs-DVD/446-Televiseurs-LCD-Plasma with an HD tuner. If we consider the cost of handling, the part, and the labor, it's better to get a recent TV, which is often less energy-consuming and more efficient.

Hello, my screen turns on and off by itself as soon as I plug it into the power supply, so I disassembled it and noticed that 4 capacitors were swollen, so I replaced them. Now it shows a white screen with vertical black and white lines. My screen is three years old and out of warranty, and it's a Samsung LE40R86BDX.
