Blinking diode at startup

Hello,
When I press the power button on my PC (Fujitsu-Siemens), the blue LED on the power button starts blinking very quickly, and nothing happens.
I have vacuumed the dust inside the case and replaced the motherboard battery, but there has been no change at startup: rapid blinking of the blue LED located on the front of the PC.
Do you have any idea what is happening?
Thank you,
Olivier

Good evening,
it might be your power supply that's also being affected by dust; the best thing is to blow it out. I even saw the LED of a tower light up just by plugging it into the power supply (a short circuit of a component inside the case).
For a test, unplug the power supplies, take out the case, open it up and use a blower or a bicycle pump, etc.... put it back together and give it a try; a vacuum cleaner is not powerful enough to suck out dust from the corners, it’s static.
Good luck!!! -
Hi, for your problem, if you have the time, I advise you to unplug each component of your PC one by one. Let me explain; for example, unplug your graphics card, try to turn it on, and see if the problem is still there. If it is, plug it back in and unplug, for instance, your hard drive or something else, and so on... (I had the same problem as you, and I eventually found that it was my graphics card that was probably short-circuiting the PC)
If after that the problem persists, unfortunately, I can't help you any further.
Good luck, and keep us updated. -
GOOD EVENING
if you change your power supply, get a higher wattage one, because the ones usually installed are around 350w and that's a bit tight if you add other components

Great idea Zouko_1990,
As soon as I have the time, I will do as you suggest,
Thanks,
No problem Mike 78, if I have to change the power supply in the end, I will get a >350W.
See you later
