Hello,

When starting, my PC screen displays small squares of all colors, my hard drive is working, the sound is also working; the screen only changes colors; the screen gets stuck with squares of different colors; it’s not a screen problem, it works. I am on Vista, my computer is an HP, my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 8500... Could the problem be with my graphics card?????
Please HELP ME!
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 6.0

To access the BIOS, it's at startup, right? The problem is that at startup I have this mosaic and always this damn mosaic!! It constantly stays on the screen except that it changes colors. Is there no way to test the graphics card???

    Thank you for your help.

It really looks like a graphics card failure... Have you tried updating the BIOS if available? 525 message(s) posted since Thursday, May 31, 2007

If you're having the issue right from the start, I'm afraid your graphics chipset may indeed be fried. I don't see any solution other than replacing the graphics card...

    Sorry....

Hello, for the graphics card issue, there is a solution.
You just need to reapply thermal paste so that the computer restarts and uninstall
the driver. The computer works, but you can no longer play games with heavy graphical resources and there is no more connection to the screen.

It is true that it is difficult, if not impossible, to repair a graphics card: with all these components!!!!! I really don't know much about it!!!!! Well, I will have to resign myself to changing my card!!!
Computers are great; but when they start to mess up, it's really a bummer!!!!!!! Fortunately, my other computer is still working!!!! In any case, I learned something!!!!

Thank you Arnaud00 for this information!!!!

Hello, I have the same display issue, but occasionally the mosaic lines disappear. I'm afraid it might be the graphics card; my PC is a Fujitsu laptop.
