Hello,
The software used for programming, reinstalling, and backing up is called Procomm Plus.
Classic programming is possible by following this principle.
The PABX must have an analog subscriber card (Type LA 4 or LA 8 or MIXED)
Connect the PSTN modem of any PC to one of the outputs of this card
and then call with the modem either 59 or 79 depending on the version of the PABX. I believe it's 79.
To find out if it's 59 or 79, just use an analog phone already connected to the PABX
to dial one or the other of these two numbers. The correct number will respond with a fax tone.
You will then see on the PC screen the window of the five general management chapters.
Only the Procomm Plus software (which connects to the J10 connector on the motherboard) allows all functions
especially backup and reinstallation)
But the management operation allows for all other modifications and installations.
Be careful though, it's a heavy part that requires knowledge of PABX in general as
the program and its possibilities are vast.
I have the software I used when I programmed the Matra 6501. I will look for it.
Have a good day.

I am looking for the software that allows you to supervise the Matra 6501, save and visualize the program. Apparently, it is called Fotowin or an equivalent. If someone has the solution, thank you in advance.
Hello,
Another software that allows the administration of the PABX 6501 is Teraterm pro. Beforehand, connect the PC (COM1) to J10 of the OCT card.
Best regards

Hello,
I have a Matra 6501 C4, and several Matra radios (M760, M710, M725, and some old M405E, M420, and M640).
Am I required to use Matra radios, or can I buy digital radios from another brand?

Unfortunately... yes, you are required to use phones from the same brand as the private branch exchange (PBX) you have!
Each manufacturer develops phones called "dedicated" or "digital" (phones with screens and advanced functions) that are specific to the PBX to which they are connected.
Alcatel dedicated phones can only be connected to Alcatel PBXs, Aastra Matra dedicated phones only to Matra PBXs, etc.
On the other hand, so-called "analog" phones (Z), identical to those you might have at home, can be from any brand...

Good evening everyone, I would like to know how we can route calls to an Asterisk server from a Matrocom 6501.
How will the interconnection between the Matrocom and a PC be done?

Hello,
Is it a beige cabinet with a blue cover or a flat black cabinet?
Anyway, and generally, the connections are made via extension cards that have different functions.
For the "RTC" or rather network connection, do you need an LR2? LR4 or LR8, that is, 2, 4, or 8 network lines.
Then it needs to be declared in the motherboard programming. (LR = network line)

Good evening
my cabinet is black 58cm high 36cm wide 9cm thick
however an EOCD card is plugged into the motherboard I think this unit was connected to a Numéris network. I need an EOCA or EOCN card
for analog operation where could I find this type of card at a reasonable price, and is the motherboard compatible with this type of analog card
see you soon thanks for the advice

Hello,
Sorry, I don’t know this version of PABX. I don’t know the version of the motherboard, let alone its software version. The same goes for the related cards.
However, I found this:

There are surely more...

Bonjour, je souhaiterais recevoir des explications sur les restrictions des abonnés, de jour comme de nuit, c'est-à-dire comment empêcher un abonné de prendre la ligne privée au-delà d'une certaine heure, par exemple 18 heures.
We have a MATRACOM 6501-C central unit and we would like to set up call forwarding. Can someone help me? I don't have the manual. Thank you.
Could you clarify what you want to do exactly?
- There is the actual transfer, which can be done by pressing the flashing key ("R") on the phones + the extension number for transfer;
- There is also call forwarding, which redirects a line to another under certain conditions to choose from (no answer, busy, etc...)

a friend gave me a Matra 6501C central unit with 6 M730 stations and 2 M740 stations. I managed to connect the 8 stations. On the motherboard, there is an EOCD card, but I don't see where to connect the RTC line
I don't know this central unit at all; I previously had an Alcatel T16
how do I program the names of the stations and set the date and time?
Is it possible to find a wiring plan for this central unit?
Thank you in advance.
I am looking for Alcatel T16 phones... do you still have them?
Did you receive my message regarding my search for the Alcatel T16 position?
Given that you had previous T16 models, I would like to know if you still have them?
I am counting on your reply.
Best regards
I have never used the T16 units. I always use a 6501 (V14) with the MC405, MC520, and MC640 series units.
I don't think the T16s are compatible with the 6501, although I’m not sure since I have never installed this product. After doing some research, it seems that these models are hard to find.
I assume they operate on four wire cables (data + separate power supply, so probably on PABX Barphone B85 or Télic)?
Sorry.
I saw in your post that you worked on a Matra 6501.
I have just acquired a Matra-Nortel 6501C; would you happen to have any technical documentation regarding this device?
Thank you for your reply.
