Yahoo Mail: verification alert for your account

Hello,
I have a Yahoo email account, and I received an email from Yahoo asking me this:
"Due to congestion from all Yahoo users and the removal of all unused Yahoo accounts, Yahoo will have to close your account. You need to confirm your email by filling in your login information below. If the form is not completely filled out, your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons.
Confirmation of your identity. Verification of your Yahoo Mail account

Name:............................................................
First Name:......................................................
Yahoo! ID:......................................................
Yahoo Address:..............................................
Password:......................................................

Information
Gender:...........................................................
Country:...........................................................
Occupation:..................................................
"

This is the second time I have received it. However, I am skeptical about whether this is a real email from Yahoo.
It seems strange that they are asking for my details, especially my password.

Has anyone else received this, and what attitude should I adopt?
Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.5.3

re-hello
as expected, the email received is completely fake.
I am copying and pasting the email from Yahoo received earlier.
