Hello,
I have a Yahoo email account, and I received an email from Yahoo asking me this:
"Due to congestion from all Yahoo users and the removal of all unused Yahoo accounts, Yahoo will have to close your account. You need to confirm your email by filling in your login information below. If the form is not completely filled out, your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons.

This is the second time I have received it. However, I am skeptical about whether this is a real email from Yahoo.
It seems strange that they are asking for my details, especially my password.

Has anyone else received this, and what attitude should I adopt?

Hello,
I received the same message on Saturday. I'm quite skeptical about this message!!
No logo and no info from Yahoo, sent on a Saturday afternoon knowing that most of us are going away for the weekend, making it impossible to respond within 24 hours as the message suggests, asking for ID and especially the password!!!
For my part, I didn't respond and my email is working fine

I just received the same email today and I'm also very skeptical about the recipient.
Asking us for our password and moreover our secret question and answer seems very shady to me.
Personally, I am not responding to this message for now, I will keep it and see if my mailbox is deleted in 72 hours.
I have nevertheless reported it to Yahoo as abusive mail and here is their response for the moment:

I sent an email to yahoo earlier, and I'm waiting for a response.
I might, however, back up my address book just in case (messages, we mourn, contacts, we lose...)

It's a fake because when you click "reply," if you look at the sender's email address, it's live.windows@orange.fr, so if it were real, I think they would have gone through their host and not orange...
So as X said, it should be deleted :)
However, it's strange that it's not referenced on the website www.hoax.buster.com.
