VLC: Windows Taskbar Appearance Solved

Question

Hello,
I have the latest version of VLC. I have a problem when watching a movie in full screen. After about 20 minutes, my Windows taskbar reappears... I have to move the mouse and click again for it to disappear. Is there a more effective method because this happens every time... thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.3

Hi..well I found it...I knew it was a matter of settings..but where exactly was the question...actually in VLC's preferences, you need to select VLC as always on top...and then the Windows taskbar doesn't pop up anymore...

Hello;  Right-click on your bar and then properties. I also suggest Gom Player ( https://www.gomlab.com/index.gom ), I prefer it to VLC.

Hi, I don't think the issue comes from the Windows taskbar because now when I hide it, it stays hidden regardless of the application or page I'm on, which is not convenient... The problem really comes from VLC... because it's VLC that, at some point, exits full-screen mode to make the Windows taskbar reappear... there must be a function to enable that I'm not aware of...

have you tried uninstalling VLC from the control panel
then downloading VLC again and reinstalling it?
