Hello everyone
so I’m new to the field of computing
and what just happened to me is synonymous with a big hassle
since yesterday my taskbar has disappeared after my daughter wanted to shut down the computer by pressing the tower button as if we wanted to turn on the computer
I’ll explain, she wanted to turn off the computer by the button we usually use to turn it on instead of shutting it down like she usually does
I’ve already read the messages on this subject but I can’t find out how to get it back
yesterday I even tried to do a system restore but no luck
if you could help me that would be kind of you
thanks in advance
see you later
Configuration: xp

If your taskbar has disappeared, simply click on Start - Control Panel - Classic View - Taskbar and Start Menu, then check the box "Keep the taskbar above other windows."
Your taskbar should no longer disappear.

If your taskbar is located somewhere other than the bottom and you want to move it to the left, right, or top of the screen, simply right-click on the taskbar and uncheck "Lock the taskbar" if it isn't already unchecked. Then, left-click on the taskbar and drag it to where you want it. To prevent this from happening again, check the box "Lock the taskbar."

I try everything but when I click on the taskbar icon and start menu, the window doesn't open. I don't know what to do, I've tried all your tips but nothing at all :(

If the taskbar has disappeared, you cannot access the Control Panel.

Hello, I know this message was posted a year ago, but I hope for a response, thank you in advance. First of all, I have the same problem as others, which is that my taskbar has disappeared, but in the control panel, I cannot click on taskbar and start menu, so I cannot test this protocol, thanks again!

I know it’s been a long time, but how did you do it?
