Merge 2 subtitle files (.srt)

Hello everyone,
I have a video file (.avi), and unfortunately, the subtitles are in 2 .srt files (part 1 and part 2). I am using Subtitle Workshop, and I would like to, in Subtitle Workshop: insert the movie (no problem there), then insert the first subtitle file (no problem there either), but this is where it gets tricky, I want to add the 2nd subtitle file and "paste" it to the first to make it one, but when I drag and drop the 2nd subtitle file, it removes the first one, and instead, I have the 2nd. How can I add this 2nd file without removing the 1st or having the 2nd file appear in the "translation" part, and also, how do I coordinate the timing, since the 2nd subtitle file obviously restarts at 0 (or 2 minutes), and therefore the offset for this 2nd subtitle file is huge (40 minutes, or more). I have checked the software help, but on the one hand, it's all in English, and on the other hand, this question is not addressed. I'm not sure if I'm being very clear. Thank you in advance if anyone can help me.

For those who will come across this topic:
In the Subtitle Workshop menu, click on:
Tools / Merge Subtitles........
A panel will open, select your first subtitle file,
then the second, and click on Merge!

It will ask you under what name to save the new complete srt, and where you want to save it. After choosing, confirm, Subtitle Workshop in recent versions (mine is 2.51) will automatically recalculate the timing of the second file following the first, taking into account the original timing of the second file, and it will display this new complete srt file directly in Subtitle Workshop. There you go, simple, no need to resynchronize anything (if your srt files were in sync to begin with, of course!)!

Hi!
I don't know about your software, but your SRT file opens easily with Notepad. If you take a look at the structure of the file, you can copy file 2 to the end of file 1.
(Just make a double of your files first :-)

Yes, thank you, I can easily "paste" the two files together into one using Notepad. However, the second file remains completely "offset" in time; for example, the first line should display at, let's say, 00:42:33,317, and it is marked as it was, at 00:02:12,452, so the entire second part doesn't display. There must be a maneuver with Subtitle Workshop, which is an excellent software for working with subtitles, but I can't find it. When I select "adjust subtitles" and specify the start and end times of the video file, it recalibrates, but not in the way it should. Does anyone know a "magic" maneuver?
I believe you did the essential part, which is to synchronize your second .srt file with the second part of the movie (that’s the most tedious part). The timeline of this file will have changed automatically and will no longer overlap with that of file number 1.
You can therefore copy them one after the other in a text editor, save (renaming for safety), and open the movie with this new file. I’m not sure if I’m being very clear?...

a lead I'm doing it for the video you never know install the second then cut then install the first ok then glue it
A bit late for a response, but I've just read your message, I was looking to do the same thing... and finally, I did it like this:
open the 2nd file in subtitle workshop, synchronize the subtitles (so new timeline...); copy this modified file after the 1st one (in notepad, for example). And that's it.

Thank you, I didn't quite understand, I'm going to work now, I'll try, but I think it's going to be a problem, like; how to establish the new timeline? Without starting everything "manually" of course. Anyway, thanks for the answer, in the meantime, I had "tweaked", in fact, I was watching the movie in 2 parts, re-aligning the second subtitle file around the halfway point of the movie. Thank you.
