Hello,
let me explain, I bought an LCD television from the brand "GRANDIN" (82cm for 300€ at Conforama), and I have a tiny problem: when I plug speakers into the TV's jack, the sound continues to come out of the TV’s speakers but not from the external speakers. If someone can help me, that would be great!
THANK YOU
ps: I also tried plugging in headphones and got the same result; my father-in-law has the same television as mine and he has exactly the same issue!Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.13

Hello, my TV was working fine and then all of a sudden when I tried to turn it on I got a blue screen that said "no media". Could you tell me what that means? Thank you in advance.

I come across your question and I want to respond that the 3.5mm jack inputs are outputs for ear headphones
and the red and white RCA outputs go to an amplifier which will be connected to the speakers. -
I had the same problem at first...
I wanted to output the sound from my 82cm Grandin TV through the jack port, using a Jack-to-RCA cable, to the RCA input of my Hi-Fi system.
But nothing happened. The sound continued to come from the TV speakers and nothing from my system...
I was getting desperate until one day while rummaging through the menus, I realized there was a setting for the volume of the TV speakers, and a setting for the headphone volume!!!
So you have to lower the TV volume and raise the headphone volume... -
On Grandin TVs, go to Menu, then headphone output, and if you no longer want sound from the speakers, turn the main volume down to 0
enjoy ;) -
Yes, that's what I thought at first, but no, because as I explained, I also connected headphones and the result is the same :s

Hello, yes it's strange, for the price they forgot to plug in the socket!! :-) I'm thinking about something... Grandin is a budget-friendly brand, so they could have put the socket in, because it is there on higher models with some parts shared with other TVs, including yours. Yours being a low-end model has it there without being plugged in, a higher model would have it, but plugged in! I don't think a brand would actually do that, it's a bit exaggerated, but well... We should open the cover and try to take a closer look at it...

Similarly, the jack output of the LD32C14 is indeed an output, not an input. I wonder if it is possible to find an audio output by dismantling the TV frame, or to find a workaround somewhere...

It's normal, the jack socket you have on the back of the TV is not an OUTPUT, it's an input.
I struggled too to find the thing when I wanted to connect my Logitech 5.1 but nada!
And to test, I connected my laptop via DVI to the TV and plugged the audio from the laptop with a jack/jack to the TV, and there, as if by magic, I had both sound and picture from the laptop.
It's an IN socket they've put on the back of the TV, not an OUT socket. If you want audio output from the TV, you have to use the RCA... in other words, go through a home cinema system.
At the same time, we shouldn't be surprised, it's a low-end TV.....
The same goes for the USB port on the side, it's impossible to read a USB stick with DivXs on it, it’s useless, so I have to go through my Xbox. -
I would like to add a question and I hope to find a solution. I have this TV. No matter how much I navigate through the menus, I can’t find anything that allows me to connect speakers. If you have a clear answer, let me know. Because playing on the 360 without at least some bass is pretty s****. Thanks in advance ;)

you access the TV menu and increase the headphone output volume, ...............
it’s written, you need to read a little.
then you lower the volume of your TV speakers. -
I also have the Grandin LV32W10 TV and the headphone jack is not activated, so I can't adjust anything in the MENU, the headphone line is greyed out!!!
How can I activate it???
Thank you for your help!!! Arnaud.B
