Scanned document print: gray background :-(

Hello,
I am scanning a color document with a white background using a Canon 4400F scanner.
When it appears on the screen as a PDF or JPEG, the document looks perfect.

But once printed with my HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer, the white background of the document appears all grey...

What can I do?

    Try to check the print properties of your hardware; otherwise, sorry, but I'm not good with printers—I'm very good at breaking them, lol.
