Hello everyone
I downloaded a server.met file to modify my server list on eMule, however, I can't find where to place it or which section of the preferences to go to in order to configure this. I'm using version 0.49c
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me.

Hello,
I don't know if you're aware, but this topic goes against the CCM charter... Emule is illegal, but it's easy to say that, yet most CCM members download, so all I can tell you is that some websites, like the official Emule site, have a special forum for Emule...
Your server.met file should be copied and pasted into PROGRAM FILES / EMULE / CONFIG / and you paste it into the folder.
Best regards.

I'm sorry, I meant to say that downloading via eMule is illegal. The software itself is legal.
As for your problem, either you reinstall a version of eMule and you might get your config file back, or you create it and normally it will take into account the server.met

Following the creation of the file, there were no changes, so I reinstalled it. This time I have the created folder, but my server list remains unchanged...
still 8 servers, not one more, what to do?

Like many people, not using eMule anymore is one of the reasons why servers are also drastically decreasing, following the lawsuits filed against server owners and sites providing eMule or torrent links.
By going to the software's website, I found, for those who might have the same issue, in the server update, paste http://serveurs.emule-french.org and then perform the update
thank you to all those who paid attention to my problem

However, a small clarification: eMule is legal! Peer-to-peer software is not only used for downloading music, but for example, if I download a Linux distribution via eMule, it's completely legal since Linux is open source! Consequently, downloading copyrighted material is illegal, but using P2P software is entirely legal!
But to go back to my problem: I don't have a "config" folder in eMule; here’s a screenshot showing the eMule folder. I tried placing the server.met file in the root folder but without success...
