EMule: My transfer files have disappeared

Hello everyone,

having run out of space on my C/ drive, I had the bright idea of transferring all the emule files to the D/ drive.
Unfortunately, when I restarted emule, all the files currently being downloaded disappeared from my "transfer" page.
However, my ongoing downloads in the temp folder are still present.
How can I recover them and move them back into my emule "transfer" page to continue downloading them?

Please, help me! I live in China, and all these French films and documentaries are my only connections to the French language, so they are incredibly precious to me! This is a matter of survival! lol

My computer skills are very limited, so if you have the solution to my problem, please explain it to me as clearly and simply as possible!

Thank you in advance for your kindness and time!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

    Hello,

On eMule, when you download, the "files" in progress are put in a special folder (the "in progress" folder^^), before being transferred to another folder when they are finished (the "finished" folder^^)

If you have moved this famous "in progress" folder, the downloads will no longer be able to resume... so you need to put them back in their place.

    Hello varfendell,

thank you for your reply, but as I said before, I'm terrible at computers!
what is the name of your "in-progress" folder? Is it the "temp" folder?
and your "finished" folder, is it the "incoming" folder?

if those aren't the folders, where can I find them on the original disk?
otherwise, how can I rename the movies in the "transfer" section of emule?
and when you tell me to put back the downloads that are in the so-called "in-progress" folder, how exactly do I do that?
in the temp folder, there are no movie names listed, just "001.part" and "001.part.met" and also "001.part.met.bak", then 002....

thank you again for your help

you moved the temp and incoming folders of eMule -_-
      .....
Put them back in their place :s

These are the folders that are "in progress".
When the download is finished, they go into the downloads folder.

Anyway, you can see that you can't read the files that are in there, or at least they are incomplete.
They take up space and that's normal:

imagine you're downloading 10 HD movies of 2GB each... that's 20GB in total. And since they are all downloading at the same time, you could end up with 15GB used without the files being fully downloaded.

On the C drive, I had "incoming" and "temp" which were in the emule folder, which itself was located in a "downloads" folder
I also had another emule folder which contained the "lang" folder, another "webserver" folder, and files changelog, emule file, emule.tmpl file, emule Light.tmpl file, a license file, a license-GER file, a LinkCreator file, readme file, Template.emuleSkin file, Template.Notifier file, Uninstall file

I have therefore moved all these folders and files into a single emule folder, on the D drive

Just to remind you that I did this manipulation because my C drive is full!

Indeed, I have my partner who did the same manipulation on XP and there were no problems, but he had all the files and folders in a single emule folder!

As for me, I am on Vista, and I have therefore moved all the folders and files into a single emule folder, just like my partner's setup! everything is together!

What should I do then because I'm stuck!

Thank you again for your time and patience!

Et well, put everything back in place, copy them where you took them.
If your hard drive is full, you can remove the files that you have finished downloading, and only those, one by one:

you find where your file is (right-click under emule and then open the file location) and you copy it to disk D.
But if you don't put everything back like it was before on disk C, it won't work anymore.
