    I have the same issue, apparently you need to go to options, memory and disable media encryption, unfortunately this will only apply to future media... there must be a way to do it via your BB or through a PC.

    Hello,

    I have the solution
    If you have a Blackberry Curve

    Option--->Security Options------>Encryption--->Media Card: Disabled.

    Do this and then rename your image with whatever you want and you're all set :)

    Hoping I helped you

      If not "encryption" go to options ------> memory ------> encrypt multimedia files and check "no"

    I just had to rename the images using the BB, and once renamed, they appear as .jpg on the computer.

    Hello,

    Maybe a solution for you:

    On Google: Type: jpg.rem extension (search for pages in French)

    The third post: blackberry.fr photo taken with the Bold

    Read the discussion all the way through (two pages)

    Good luck

    There is a very simple solution (that's how I managed to get through it):
    - forget about cables and cards... the files are transferred as they are and remain encrypted.
    - send the photos from the BB by email. Then retrieve them on your computer... they are automatically decrypted.

      Hello, I had the same problem with my photos, and I disabled the encryption option before renaming my photos one by one on my Blackberry, and it works. Thank you very much!
