Hello.
I have a "little" problem with my PSP, so here it is, when I play on the PSP, it turns off by itself.
I found a small solution which is to plug the battery into the PSP while I play. But this still causes me issues because there aren't always outlets nearby, and within my reach.
So, I hope you can help me.
Manu.

If it works on mains power, it's your battery that's dead. :)

With the PSP, you can do everything... even more!!!!!!!!!! -
What is the firmware of your PSP? After how long does the PSP turn off?

Un firmware is a type of software that provides low-level control for a device's hardware.
The PSP never turns off after a certain time; it often shuts down as soon as I turn it on... -
The firmware is the system software that is installed on the PSP. The latest from Sony is 5.51

Oh alright, thank you.
Well, I have version 4.05...
Um, okay, well, thank you mad569 ^^ -

Change the battery. I was going to say something else, but a dead battery is a more... reasonable cause.

Hello, I also have the same problem but it's not the battery that's malfunctioning. My firmware is 5.02. I would say that I can play for about 5 minutes u_u After that it turns off =/ Can you help me please? ^^

Um... Well, when I plug in the charger without the battery, it also shuts down, and I took the battery from one of my friends and it still turns off after a few minutes.

I tried the default settings but it doesn't change anything =/ it bugs during the game and then it shuts down.

I had the same thing happen to me, I was playing Vice City Stories and it just turned off by itself. I was freaked out but I left it alone for about 5 minutes and it turned back on.
