Bonjour,
Je ne m'y connais pas énormément en informatique, aussi, j'aurais besoin de votre aide.
Alors, voilà, hier, j'ai installé un additionnel du jeu The Sims 2. L'installation s'est déroulée correctement. J'ai redémarré mon ordinateur, puis, ensuite, j'ai voulu lancer le jeu. Tout allait bien jusqu'au moment d'arriver dans mon quartier. En effet, le graphisme avait visiblement un soucis, puisque l'image clignotait en rose fluo. De même, lorsque je vais dans ma maison, les murs clignottent en rouge et en noir... Le jeu fonctionne correctement à part ce problème de graphisme.
J'ai ainsi cherché de trouver une réponse à mon problème sur des forums et il s'agirait d'une problème de carte graphique !
Voici les références de mon ordinateur :
ordinateur portable TOSHIBA T9000
exploitant : Microsoft Windows XP édition professionnel SP2
carte graphique : S3 Graphics SuperSavage / IXC 1179 (8 Mo, AGP 2.00)
Que faire ? Je suis perdue ! Je ne trouve pas de drivers, pilotes, et autres choses dont je ne comprends même pas le sens ! Quelqu'un peut-il m'éclairer dans la démarche à suivre pour optimiser mon ordinateur ?

---> Va dans le gestionnaire de périphériques.
---> Clique droit sur sur ta carte graphique et choisis "Mettre à jour le pilote...".
---> Choisis "Non, pas pour cette fois" et clique sur "Suivant".
---> Choisis "Installer à partir d'une liste..." et clique sur "Suivant".
---> Clique sur "Parcourir" et choisis le dossier "display-20080414134604".
---> Clique sur Suivant et le pilote va normalement s'installer.
---> Clique droit sur sur ta carte graphique et choisis "Mettre à jour le pilote...".

Si, si, cela faisait depuis bien un an que j'y jouait. Et, là, j'ai voulu installer un additionnel : Quartier Libre. Auparavant, je n'avais pas d'additionnels, ni de kits.
Afin d'en connaître un peu plus sur ta config', fais ce qui suit :
---> Télécharge et installe Everest Ultimate.
---> Lance-le, va dans Ordinateur puis Résumé et donne-nous le résumé. Pour prendre le résumé, utilise la fonction Rapport en haut de ton écran : Image
PS : supprime ton adresse mail si elle apparaît dans le rapport.

En tout cas, admettons, qu'il faille que j'en achète une autre carte graphique, est-ce que je dois démonter le "chip monté sur la carte mère" ou pas ? En faites, ce que j'ai : S3 Graphics SuperSavage / IXC 1179 n'est pas une carte graphique si j'ai bien suivi ? Merci encore pour les réponses.

il ne faut pas s'attendre à des miracles avec un portable qui a déjà au moins 15 ans d'age
tu peux regarder si tu as des pilotes plus récent pour ton Tosh
pour la détection des bons pilotes et leur téléchargement

et cliquer sur "Lancer la détection" ( en bas de la fenêtre )

laisser tourner et une page va s'afficher avec des fichiers en bleu
en cliquant sur le lien , tu vas télécharger les bons drivers
- déjà bien installer les chipsets de la carte mère
- relancer une recherche pour finir
- un chipset de mal installé , et tu as un fichier pour le restant qui n'est pas bon ou qui n'apparait pas

Ce PC est sortie en 2001 et même les mises à jour des drivers ne servent à rien , c'est un problème matériels
AGP 2 et 8 Mo. Déjà étonnant que la version de base de sims 2 puisse fonctionner. Ça doit vraiment être limite et vraisemblablement une des 1ères versions.
