Hello,

What is the difference between an MP5 and MP4 and is it a device that really works because I often see them online but I've never seen them in stores. Does it allow playing RMVB files?
Configuration: Windows Vista Mozilla 1.9.0.11

To provide a concrete answer to this subject, I would say that MP5 actually refers to nothing more than a simple MP4 player, more accurately called a portable multimedia player (PMP, abbreviated in English). The difference that some may add is that the latter is compatible with the formats recognized by a simple "MP3" player (portable audio player, in proper language)...

Of course, this is just a brief attempt to confuse the lay public or those who are poorly informed, as there is no MP4 player that is unable to recognize the MP3 audio format.

Therefore, it is misleading to use the term MP5, which is not even recognized yet. It is merely a purely commercial appropriation, which is also why you won't find any trace of it on CCM!
