IPod Classic Hold Button

Hello,
I have my iPod Classic 120 GB since Christmas 2008.
Today it is frozen, it remains on the "hold" button, even if I change its position.
I tried connecting it to my computer and resetting it, but nothing works, it's as if it remains in the 'Hold' position even though it isn't anymore.
Should I take it in for repairs? Is there a solution?

    I have the same problem. None of the buttons work except for the hold button, because when I activate/deactivate it, the screen lights up. For the rest, everything is normal; when I connect the iPod to the computer, everything goes well, it is recognized, and I can synchronize my library. I tried restarting with Menu + Central Button, but since the buttons are unresponsive, nothing happens. I tried restoring my iPod, but it didn't change the problem. As he said, it's like I'm permanently under the hold button. Any solution?

      I called Apple customer service (0805540003), and since I am still under warranty, they are coming to pick it up at my place to check the problem.

      It's the second time this happens to me on my iPod Classic.
      Since they had already exchanged it for me the first time.
      It's funny because both the first and the second time it gets stuck when I connect to iTunes! Strange!
