Hello,
for some time now I have been receiving messages on my mobile phone from 88880 (Jamba Play). These messages are sent to me once a week and I have to pay €3.00 for each one!!! They told me that if I wanted them to stop sending me messages, I had to send them STOP: so I did, but then they asked me to send STOP again with the server number....
Can you please explain the procedure and the meaning of their word "server" (I don’t really see which server they are talking about...)
Thank you in advance...
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

You need to send stop to 88882 and they will send you a message saying that you will no longer receive any messages from their service.

Hi
you should never accept this kind of threat, you trash them when you receive them, it’s a scam.

Hello, there's no doubt it's a scam. Don't send them anything and contact your provider!

Hello

here is the procedure

• Download 2 games or programs per week in your Jamba Play club.
• Rates and subscription: 2 non-premium SMS at registration, then €3 every 7 days, regardless of the number of received SMS + WAP connection charges.
• Unsubscription: send STOP to 88880. The credits remain valid until your unsubscription.
• Need help? info@jamba.fr or 01 57 32 32 62 (standard charges). Are you a minor? Ask your parents for permission before ordering.
• Service provided by Fox Mobile Distribution GmbH

don't mess around with this kind of money-grabbing site

best regards

Hello,
I subscribed to a non-blocked plan for my daughter, and shortly after, there were increasingly high bills. I threatened to take away her phone if she kept sharing her life on it... the bills didn’t return to normal.
I switched her SIM card with mine, which is blocked and used very little, thinking there wouldn’t be any issues...
Unfortunately, it continued with me....
So I checked the SMS I had been receiving without paying attention...
I looked at my online bill, and even with me, who rarely used my phone, there was this 88880....
I typed it into the search engine...
And here I am.....
I followed the procedure, sending Stop to 88880, and I hope these credit suckers will stop debiting from my account and also stop taking advantage of the gullibility of teenagers who click away and get scammed !!!!!

Thank you for helping me out of this bad situation and for getting many others out too.

Yes, I know, but I tried not to open their message and see if it was when I opened the message that they took the €3.00... I just did the experiment because they just sent me one...
Thanks anyway!!!

Hello, so here I received a text from Jamba Play.

I clicked on it and since I had an "old phone" that wasn't compatible with the internet, I couldn't view the message.

Since then, I had been charged €3 a week and didn't know why. I noticed the ad on TV and saw that they were charging €3 a week, and it had been going on for quite a while.

So I sent STOP to 88880 and received a text confirming the cancellation, but since I deleted it, I'm still being charged, and this has been going on for months...

Today I called Jamba and got an old Belgian guy whom I had trouble understanding with his accent. He gave me useful numbers to cancel.

I hope this helps you.

So you send STOP to 2700

Supposedly, 2 minutes later you send your first name without accents to 88080.

There you go, I hope this will be very useful.

AND AGAIN, be careful with these scams.

Edit: the second number doesn't work, so I was misinformed.

I hope to find a solution "one day." I'm currently trying to cancel with "stop" to 88080, but I'm still not receiving any messages.

I'll give you more information as soon as I manage to cancel...

Hello, I received a text from Jamba saying: if you want to unsubscribe, send stop to 88880. I did that, and it still tells me that it doesn't work and that I need to call them. I went to jamba.fr and read their terms and conditions. To unsubscribe, you send stop to 88080, and they responded: no need to unsubscribe for you because you are not subscribed, which is completely correct since I have never purchased anything from them. I just went to check, and when I read: 3 euros subscription per week, I quickly left. Apparently, unsubscribing at 88080 works.
