I have the same problem, no sound on TF1 HD, France 2 HD, and M6 HD
However, I have sound on ARTE HD.
Everything was working fine on my TV until 3 or 4 days ago.
For your information, Sharp LCD TV, Mont Pilat TV transmitter.

      Hello,

I also have a Sharp and no sound on the HD channels (except for Arte, which is not on the same multiplex).
Have you found a solution to get the sound?

      Thank you for your reply.

      Best regards.

Good evening, the HD TNT is broadcast in Dolby, and to gain image bandwidth, they have removed a sound channel, and the non-Dolby compatible TNT decoders no longer have sound. We have to wait for TF1, FR2, and M6 to decide to update their frequency.

I've been having the same problem for a few days!
My decoder wouldn't automatically set HD to 16/9 (even though SD was set automatically, go figure why?)....
Now, there's no sound, despite trying all the settings and reprogramming the channels...

I'm calling SAGEM tomorrow morning to try to get some explanations.

For the calendar, I don't know if my demodulator is on the list; it's a Sagem IDT 81
I'll call them tomorrow to find out more
and I'll let you know afterwards.

    Hello patdesal.

Normally, there should be an update made by the terrestrial broadcaster, but from what I understand, no one is receiving this update...

So, tomorrow morning, I will contact the customer service of SAGEM COMMUNICATIONS to get more information about this issue and this update.

Hi, here is the non-premium number: 0170480483. They gave it to me at Sagem on Saturday morning.

I called Sagem at noon. They say they are aware of the problem and that we need to wait for the next update, but they didn't give a date because they are waiting for authorization. I hope it will be quick.

I also contacted customer service, who told me the same thing. I was given an average deadline of 7 to 15 days...

    I contacted them again...
    They don't provide a timeline...
    It's a bit scandalous!!

Do you also have to readjust the image format on HD channels, which doesn't automatically switch to 16/9?

The HD channels I always have in full screen, so that doesn’t pose me any problems on that side. I just have an issue with the sound. I would have liked to be able to program the decoder for scheduled recordings. However, I can record the HD channels through the SCART cable with sound but in SD format. It's better than nothing.

    Hi,
I just acquired this HD TNT adapter as well... the sound on the HD channels (except for Arte) doesn't work... nothing to do.

Has anyone solved this issue? Thank you.

We need to check for an update of the device by calling customer service. Unfortunately, we have no choice.

Patdesal: Do we need to send them the decoder by parcel? I didn't understand your whole message...

    Hello,
I bought my ITD81HD at the end of May, and it did an automatic update when exiting standby a few days after purchase.
But there's still very low sound on TF1HD, France 2HD ... all HD channels except ARTE HD, where it's correct.
Otherwise, all sound levels have to be at maximum, both the level of the decoder and that of the television, to hear anything.
Note also that no sound comes out of the RCA outputs located at the back, except for ARTE HD.
Apparently, the problems with very low volume and the RCA audio output are due to the AC3 format.
Just to clarify: the decoder is connected to a Samsung LCD via HDMI, my firmware version is 1.3.18HD.
Come on, SAGEM team, find a way to solve this problem so that we can use your products.
Your lack of responsiveness and apparent laxity (as seen from all these messages on this post) do not encourage us to buy French products, what a pity...
In the meantime, good luck to all the buyers of this product...
    Cheers.

For the owners of an Avermedia product (I have the volr black usb), they haven't updated the software and driver yet. Still no sound on HD channels (except ARTE) with AverTV version 6.0.18, driver 1.0.0.26.
I just sent a request on their US site.
    We'll try with W7.

    Hi.

      Hello,

I also have the Volar Black, and the Avertv software still does not provide sound on HD channels except for Arte (probably an issue with the hard drive)

Have you received any news regarding your request?

      Best regards.

      in addition:

I am on W 7, Media Center has sound on all channels including HD, but AVertv has no sound on HD channels (except for Arte)
I am using the same app as you 6.0.18
the driver is the latest for W7 64 bits 1.0.64.28

I am looking to use AVertv because with Media Center, excellent otherwise in quality, there is the issue of the wtv format which is not easy to migrate to DVD (if SD, right click convert to dvr-ms, then convert to avi or mpeg then convert to dvd...: If HD no software works EXCEPT Movie Maker, but the resulting sound is very very low; I have tried all the todvrms software, the paid software, myc converter etc... nothing, it crashes. Nero 9 converts but there is no sound even with SD recordings, dvrmstompeg does not yet support my wtv)... Moreover Media Center no longer offers me SD channels if there are corresponding HD ones, which is not the case with Avertv).

So if I could record in HD with AVertv, with sound, that would be great.

      Best regards.

Putting channel 8 (Direct 8) on standby is nonsense, send it to Sagem because updates are done every 3 months or even more, so...

Hello everyone, same here, no sound on HD except for Arte!! At Boulanger, they don't know anything!!!! It annoys me, they sell products and then you're on your own!!! Apparently, it's a multiplex channel R5 issue!!! But how can we know when we can receive this damn multiplex!!! If anyone knows more, please let me know so I can inform my store!!! Eric

Same problem, hd81, I simply reset it
and then re-added the TNT channel and then the free channel and the sound works.

First, you need to check the software info v1310 that you need to have.

You can load it with a USB, it requires 2 files to be placed on the USB by visiting the sagem demo hd81 site.

      SC604C8ASIG.1310_Signed
      SC604C8A.1310_Signed

      01) Format a USB key (Max capacity: 8 GB) to "FAT32"

      02) Place BOTH files (binary files and signatures in the root directory of the USB key:

      03) Connect the STB to a TV (via HDMI)

      04) Turn off the power to the STB

      05) Connect the USB key to the STB (Front Panel)

      06) Continue to hold the [Power] button on the front panel

      07) Turn on the STB

      08) Release the [On/Off] button when the TV displays the Sagemcom logo with "Starting"

      09) The STB will then restart and display the downloading screen

      10) Wait until the progress bar is completed (less than 1 minute), and the STB displays the steps:

      "1" Downloading data

"2" Flashing STB => Do not turn off the power!

      "3" Flashing completed
